Still Concord is a shute shield ground.

It's also our base of operations.

Why don't we start using it for games?

Parking may be an issue but I would like to see it happen. WA down the road, the Meriton backing comes from the city.

Parking would be woeful, I wouldn't mind seeing Concord become a full time home though.

There is so much talk about Tui being "promised" the fullback role but when you read through his original interview about coming here at no point does Tui himself say that, instead he specifically says a few times that Ivan has given him a "pathway" to play in his preferred position.

I have no doubt that if Tui performs then he will be in the first grade squad or alternatively he will drop back to ISP in his "Preferred position" to work on his game. The main issue that Tui has had with the Warriors is being moved from position to position each week and even when back in ISP not being in a preferred position so that he can develop his game.

In my opinion this is what Ivan has promised Tui, an ability to develop his game either in first grade or ISP but in a position that he wants to play in, this is Tui's "pathway" that he spoke about.

He got moved from position to position because he wasn't good enough to demand a consistent spot.
Then after that he threw his toys because of it.

Finally instead of putting 100%, getting himself in peak condition to improve his chances, he blew out both in weight and conditioning.

Hopefully for both him and the Tigers, he turns it around.

Is it fair to say that the media coming out and talking rubbish over the whole promise to tui lolohea turn watson off from the tigers? Me might have already signed but their is a 10 day cooling off period I see him as a great signing and great fullback. I would be filthy if the media (slothfield) cost us a great signing like watson

Yep in COP and good old Nick prob got on the blower to his mate Slothfield to drum up some negative press

Yea..pascoe and cleary would of sat down and explained where we are at and where we are heading.going buy the reports watson has signed he must buy into what direction cleary and pascoe are leading the tigers into. Hopefully the media do not deter watson away from us.young footballers are easily manipluated.

I would be EXTRAORDINARILY surprised if players took any notice of media noise when deciding their futures.

If you personally had met with the coach and management, perhaps toured the facilities, had discussions about the future team structure and where they saw you, then you read an article in the paper about your potential career move, which would you put faith in? Your own view and determination or the article about your personal career position by some nobody who didn't even quote you?

Just listen to Reynolds, he said if the media was to be believed then the Tigers would be a rabble of a club, but he met the club and it's not like that at all.

Ive read both your posts and i have to say you seem upset he didnt work out with you guys. I can understand that as we have been through similar situations but if you have noticed, we give players an enourmous amount of opportunity to prove themselves. Tui can play and he has the jump on Reynolds and Watson. Lets see what happens.

Josh Reynolds said the thing that swayed him to sign was how honest Ivan was when they spoke.
Any NRL player that believes Slothfield over a coach would not be worth signing, due to lack of grey matter.

Not at all upset. I can't comment on any other of your players because Im not a Tigers fan.
But on our forum, we always welcome insight from other team supporters as the have followed a player before they move to the warriors.

I'm merely giving the opinion of a warriors tragic who has seen Lolo floating around the club for the last 3-4 years.

And as per my last comment I hope he changes for the better, as I like him and your club

Watson is unproven. Its easy to look good in a Roosters side who dominates and you come on at the back end of games. So far he's been a downhill skier. Jackson Hastings looked like the next immortal playing next to Pearce. Where is he now? That isn't sarcasm, where is he? Last i heard Manly reserve grade. Not sure if he's still there.

Back to Watson. The above example about Hastings is proof that you take form from a young kid in a strong side with a grain of salt. I hope he's a star, but he's far from the sure thing most are making him out to be. Atm he's a kid with potential. And how many times have we been sucked into that? Both as a club and as supporters. Learn from your mistakes.

Good Call GNR.

All depends on the Pack. We see it each week

Ah don't mind stryker he can be a bit belligerent.

We do appreciate your opinion and you having been a long-term Tui observer, your opinions hold weight (no pun intended) for me. As much as you say you can't comment strongly on our players, same for us having only watched Tui really closely for a couple of rounds now.

I think Warriors and Tigers fans are kindred spirits in some ways, both clubs always have some real talent on the books and both clubs struggle to get consistent performance from that talent. Both sets of fans would be frustrated with the lack of regular success and the recent inability of coaches to get the best out of the team.

What interests me right now is having your ex-coach Ivan, how clearly (again no pun) he is following the script he used as Warriors coach, even going so far as to selectively poach Warriors players, something we historically haven't done so much - before this year we'd signed 4 all-time ex-Warriors (Warriors having signed 7 ex-Tigers in the same space) and now we've signed 3 within a few weeks.

Yes we have both dominated kids leagues through finding blokes that dominate through size, but this doesn't translate to NRL.
Also both clubs prefer style over substance and think brilliance rather than work will be a winning formula

Yep well said. Really hope we strengthen our forward pack with a few more quality signings otherwise Watson could get smashed and lose any confidence he had at the Rorters.

The player swaps at the moment are interesting, and funny enough our base is split in Ivan.
Some think that was the down fall of the warriors, letting him go, others think he lacks whatever it takes to translate moderate into winning the comp.

We haven't been as successful as when was the coach but as with the Tigers, it's hard to know how to blame.

Also while I'm not a Tigers fan, I am a fan of the Tigs probably from the Benji days and would love to see a Tigs v Warriors GF!

With or without any more forward signings our pack next year is already better than this years - by a country mile

Pfft if we dont get any more forwards we will be in the bottom 4 again. Our bench would be terrible.
