Controversy Surrounding Souths V Bulldogs Ref. Decision

Seems Dogs fans didn't like it either pelting the ref's with bottles…

Stay Classy Doggies fans...

Oh and BTW,,Its a fair penalty IMO...dangerous contact with the legs of a kicker,,,,it was an accident but so are many high tackles...come up off the ball are penalties...

I think it was the right call. Even though it wasn't deliberate, he hit the legs of a kicker. That's been a penalty for a number of years now.

Faaaar out!!! I forgot this game was on early and missed it altogether! So bloody mad at myself! Now all I get to see is the boring bloody Broncos/Titans game - Arghhh!

The only issue i have is where they spotted the penalty. It landed 10m from the touchline, yet the penalty was in front of the posts.

Couldn't have happened to a better club and set of fans.

Smiling from ear to ear right now, reading the reactions on my facebook newsfeed

I hope the grub that was sitting infront of me at last weeks game decided to attend today.

Karma comes around !

This game and result was much more than the penalty for the charge down.

There is no other word for it than corruption. Out and out corruption and the biggest sporting rort in a long long time.

Let the Bulldogs have a taste of there own medicine  .

But yeah it was very controversial.

Be careful what you wish for Forevertiger. We may soon have the same referee and exactly the same penalty in front of the posts may go against us. Deja Vu - oh no!

It took me all week to get over our loss last week . Your going to get some calls at times and other times your not .
Last week the Dogs fans would off been thanking the Refs this week there not giving them Easter eggs.

Yep- definitely agree with that. Obviously, I'm not a dogs fan but from a "neutral" POV, I thought it was a fair call apart from what you mentioned.

Dogs fans aim bottles at the ref. that whole club is a bloody disgrace.

You cant do what the refs just did and expect passionate fans to just go home quietly.

That's why they don't allow glass bottles at games.

Hate the both of these teams - but that's beside the point.

Not a penalty to start with (had his leg on the ground), Graham dived at the ball and not the leg. Reynolds hurt his knee when he fell on Grahams back not because of the tackle. A very bad decision, I can understand the frustration, the send off I can also understand as he was mouthing and was not the captain.

"The Pride of the League" - (yeah right) are a protected species.

One of many glaring bad decisions - and what about Morris being pushed in the back from the last kick off.

The referee should never be allowed near another NRL match and neither the near side touch judge.

It just gets worse - why are fans turning to other codes - duh!!!!!

It wasn't a great decision, but the way the Dogs carried on afterwards, namely Graham and Klemmer was disgraceful.

I'd say Klemmer will be getting a couple of weeks for his spray .

😱pen_mouth: Really even if it was a dud call …which I believe it wasn't ...doesn't condone violence...blow up all you like but have a bit of class in defeat ...I would feel the same if WT fans did the same...

Thanks for the info guys, but I don't have access to Fox :frowning: However, I think I will sign up for the NRL digital pass and check it out on there  Sounds like too good a game to not watch.

In all honesty though, why wouldn't they put the better game on in prime time and the lesser match in the arvo. Or better still, one on Thursday night and the other on Friday night like they used to at Easter - bloody ridiculous really.
