The players are currently on full pay until the end of MAY...for doing ummm nothing..

How many people who have been stood down due to Covid are receiving full pay..?

The could at least train until end of MAY as well they are getting paid..

never mind..

Cmon, it’s not the 1980’s any more apparently.

Can’t expect our players to do a days work for a days pay. Can’t expect them to act their age. Can’t expect them to take responsibility For their actions

Please, bring back the 80’s. An age where tic tok meant a clock- not dickheads trying to be celebrities

Players from the 80’s probably got in more trouble than the players now.... just that no one cared. It wasn’t all over the news and social media so no one knew.

yep, I agree. I was reading the other day about a Kangaroos tour of France in the 70s or early 80s. It was more like a Viking raid than a footy tour - they went on a weeks-long drunken rampage and utterly destroyed their hotels.

Bellamy knows whats up

Bellamy is full of .....
Didn't see him come down too hard on Jesse Bromwich when he took cocaine. Titans banned Kevin Proctor for 4 games from memory and big bad Belly and the Storm HQ weasels gave Bromwich a 1 game ban IIRC.
If a fringe first-grader stuffs up he will cop it from the club but if it's a star player he'll be forgiven for "reaching out" and be punished bugger-all.
About the only good thing Matt Lodge has done in his NRL career is threaten to give Bellamy a beat-down a few years ago.
This is Belly dealing harshly with the filth that cost his club a few Premierships...

Once the warriors boys have confirmed details on all their issues (not just money) they’ll be back and everyone will start training. The players still want to start on May 28

EXCLUSIVE: The Qld premier has opened borders to the NRL.
Premier has just called Peter V'landys to inform him of the news.
But one strict condition - no more NRL player COVID-19 breaches.
Huge win for NRL for May 28 restart.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has cleared the way for the NRL’s much anticipated 2020 season to resume.

In a telephone hook up this afternoon, the Premier told NRL Chairman Peter V’Landys and the CEOs of the Broncos, Cowboys and Titans that they could resume training for a season re-opener on May 28.

“I said I was as keen as anyone else to see the NRL return and I meant it,” the Premier said.

“The only condition was that it did not put our excellent work containing the spread of COVID-19 at risk and the Chief Health Officer advises that the NRL plan is workable.”

Following examples of players breaking restrictions this week, the Premier demanded further assurances about enforcing home-quarantine measures that are a cornerstone of the NRL’s plan.

The NRL and Queensland Health Officer will have further discussions on those measures.

The Premier said the decision gives clubs permission to travel across the Queensland border to play because they are working and because they are in quarantine.

Importantly, it also allows Queensland players to remain in Queensland with their families.

“First round games will be played in Queensland and of course I put in a bid for a local grand final and we all look forward to hosting the State of Origin.”

PM says Warriors don’t have approval from Border Force to enter Aus = Border Force needs to announce it, not the PM. It’s still happening, the approval is a formal announcement. Assurances have obviously been made privately.
