Corona impact on NRL...?

There's 20 players all up with the vaccination situation. DT named a few. Those include Dylan Walker, Marty Taupau, Addin Fonua-Blake, Josh Papalii, Sia Soliola and Joe Tapine, Sione Katoa and Bryce Cartwright

They can join the Centrelink queues, no great loss there.

One door closes another opens ... there are a heap of players waiting in the wings to get there shot when all it will take is a jab!. well the door could of been opened for them .. the ones mentioned and more probably can find something else to do for the remainder of 2020 and without pay ! ?

its going from worse to worse for titans

3 of there players stood down

AND now AJ Brimson is out indefinetly wiht a back fracture

I'm curious, what religions do some of these footballers follow that prevent them getting vaccinations? Anti-vax tends to be a "natural remedy" / "anti-autism" / "pharma or big brother conspiracy" -type scare rather than a religiously-driven disposition.

There are very few religions that are anti-vax so anyone stating religion is more than likely using it as an excuse.

BTW it shouldn't be Mormonism, because vaccination is not against the CJCLS.

More so they actually fund global vaccination programs.

Jehovis Witness are anti vaxers i think

No they are not, they were between the 1930's and 1950's but the are not anymore, they actually now produce literature promoting vaccinations.

Just an opinion so could be wrong, but I heard that the emphasis on having vaccinations is to do with the fact that if you get the corona virus whilst also having the flu, it could be much more serious an issue for you (and the health system). So having a flu shot is meant to stop you getting the flu, which is meant to make it easier if you do get the corona virus.

I'm not sure I agree with being compulsorily required to have the flu shot, but in these circumstances (of international pandemic) I think it's fair enough.

It is more about having the flu suppresses your immune system making you more susceptible to contracting Covid 19 and making it harder for your body to fight it off. The vaccine is to protect these fools.

A Flu shot will not guarantee you don't get the Flu..

No it won't and it only covers a limited number of strains, usually the ones predicted to have the most impact each season.

Had mine 2 weeks ago as the doctor explained..it has the new strains 4 of them this year (dead of course) injected to trick the body into thinking you have it so the body produces anti-bodies to fight it which helps if you do happen to get it in the future..

High risk categories..elderly, people with diabetes or work in high risk industries Teachers, health workers etc and other immune deficient disorders should get it for sure..

Fit healthy males aged 20-35..I'm not so sure..

Oh okay thank you. Yeah, my partner is a nurse, so for health matters I don't pay much attention, I figure it's her area of expertise and I just ask her, and try to do what she suggests (as much as a husband can anyway).

I'm booked in for one on Thursday as the council are giving free flu shots for people from my suburb. I usually don't get one but figured if I can avoid flu symptoms this year it will mean I won't need to be tested for covid 19 and that should help a little.

I agree, fit young males aged 20-35 shouldn't be dropping dead from heart attacks either, though it happens occasionally. I think the NRL were trying to be cautious.

NRL to revert to ONE REFEREE for the remainder of the season to save costs.
