I don't know now .....in 36 hours you have 8 more cases of human to human contact in Sydney alone

Who did those 8 people see ....one went through a Woolies or Coles and got served by a young person who served say 80 more people in that days

Even working off 1 out of those 10 get infected ...you see how quick this could all happen

If I took True Tigers outlook ... February / March are traditionally most retail businesses quietest times of the year .....

I threw out my BBQ as after 25 years it's shot ...Saturday morning I'll be buying a new one and a new upright freezer

The biggest concern also is how many people live week to week .....I think anarchy is the word I smell

Your ultimate sentence is very pertinent and not only here, as there are many people in supposed affluent countries that cannot afford to stock their cupboards.

Something tells me the match has been dropped ...and I hope our Govt's are all ready ...or will they fluff the numbers .....

BTW this isn't just crack-pots, preppers and doom's-dayers, this has become a "run". Some folks are only rushing on toilet paper because they are seeing others rush on toilet paper, and for no other reason. Like a run on the bank.

That’s the most pathetic part. Scary how mindless the masses are. No one thinks for themselves anymore, no one does research that would be all but a simple google search. That’s why there’s so much misinformation out there, especially on social media. People are too dumb to fact check.

But once a run is underway, it's far from mindless to join in. It's probably the logical course of action. If there's a run on a bank (for example), someone sitting at home criticising the herd for being irrational would be better off trying to get some of their money while they still can. Even if the run is based entirely on fake news.

My sister in law is a doctor in the Philippines and at this stage no concerns. We are on a cruise ship right now, no one is wearing masks but they keep telling everyone about washing hands etc. So be aware but have fun, you will love it there.

Money is one thing. But I’m not going out and stacking vans full of toilet paper and pulling knives on others to get it. Literally what people are doing. These are the kinds of people the virus needs to wipe out.

Gotta love the NT News😂

But that example suggests a bank may run out of money. There is no risk of running out of toilet paper. The only risk is not being able to buy any in the short term due to morons buying 5000% more than they usually would.

Shops can't restock their shelves every hour, that's not physically possible

"The only risk is not being able to buy any in the short term due to morons buying 5000% more than they usually would." Which is exactly what's happening!

Also, I believe most toilet paper is made in Australia, but other items that require international shipping run a very real risk of running low. There is havoc in global shipping capacity at the moment, with logjams in China where ships can't load or unload.

Geez we must be very civilised here. The local Spar and IGA still have plenty of dunny paper. Interesting that the local Woolies had run out. I wonder if that says something about woolies shoppers?

Heard a scientist on the radio today saying each of us will be attending at least one funeral of someone we know in the next 18 months ..deceased by this virus .

Well that's irresponsible of the scientist to publicly say that. Way to encourage panic.

gym I go to gets their paper from a business called Who gives A Crap....100% recycled and puts money towards improving sanitation in impoverished countries......

Personally paper is paper, but if you're looking for some and want to feel slightly more "aware".....give them a go....great business name too......
