A friend is a Senior DR in a leadership position at a major Sydney Hospital.

They are expecting that almost everyone will be exposed to this and suffer flu like symptoms over the next 12 months.

As its mentioned above, the carriers may not know they have it and sharing.

Other thing is worth noting that it isnt as bad as ebola..

The fact that it's not as 'bad' as ebola in a way makes it worse. Ebola is so deadly that it burns itself out. A dead host doesn't spread much.

On train to Wynyard at the moment. Some one is coughing down the back.....

Just as well we dont live in the land of the stupid or someone would pull out a gun, claim the 2nd ammendment and the right to defend themselves and shoot them.
That scenario is hopefully never going to happen but with thise armed nut jobs over there it is not impossible

We don't live in the land of the stupid?

Than what do you call all those people buying up all the dunny rolls

They are lemmings and panic buyers and we have already had at least one moron stab someone out parra way.If they are armed with guns think how much dangerous it would be

if people were serious they'd be stocking up on bottled water, but as you know the sheep are not buying that...

Tinned goods as well

when i was living in Tokyo few years back and the tsunami hit i recall people going crazy at the supermarket and the first things they bought were canned goods and water. As i recall no one bought toilet paper...

REPORTER: When you say hoax, what do you mean?

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon SUPPORTER: I think it’s made up by the Democrats. I mean, there are more cases of the common flu than there are the coronavirus.

REPORTER: So you don’t believe the coronavirus exists?

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon SUPPORTER: I don’t.

REPORTER: So the two people who have been reported to have died from it in Washington state, you don’t trust that that’s true?

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon SUPPORTER: I don’t trust anything the Democrats do.

Wow that is so dumb!

Indeed, on a par with the idiots that said that Corona Beer needed to change its name or they were not going to buy it anymore ?

Imagine the amount of calls they’d be getting from hypochondriacs who have a cough.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it @Tigers_Tigers. Sounds like you are a young lad. If so, even if you do catch it, it will likely be very mild and you may not even show symptoms. It’s the people over 65 that are really at risk. Just do normal hygiene things, like wash your hands thoroughly and don’t touch you face.

Australians have stood by in awe this week, as the prophecy of the man from the maths textbook who buys items in bulk loads of 400 was finally fulfilled. Seen walking across a local Woolworths supermarket with a trolley of 200 rolls of toilet paper in one hand, and a trolley of 600 oranges in the other, passers by frantically snapped pictures in the hope that they might be able to score some royalties from future textbook publications.

“That’ll be exactly $5849.30,” said the girl at the till as she rung up his 157 watermelons. “Wait no, $6249.35… or $7031? Dammit, I’ve always been terrible at long division.”

“If only I carried some kind of tiny computer around in my pocket at all times that could help me do maths in day to day situations. But alas, my high school maths teacher told me I’d never have such a magical device, and had to memorise everything by rote.”

Update: English teachers have since explained that the man purchasing 600 oranges was actually a metaphor, with the number 600 oranges representing the large number of times English teachers read way more into a book than a writer implied.

Just back to the upcoming NRL season opening games- if there are further reported cases and things escalate, you would have to think theres a chance that games will be called off?

Most definitely .....the EPL is already talking about it

Talking of empty stadiums or playing the games at a latter date

If they pulled up stakes on the season now ..what happens ....then what happens to relegation and promotion .....FT would be rightly spewing if Leeds didn't go up

Only need 1 player ot staff member within a club to have it and the whole club will be on quaratine for 2 weeks and won't be able to play. Teams can play with no fans but quarantine rules could mean weeks and weeks of no play
