Thank you great video everyone should watch

A friend of mine works in a lab in Sydney says most of the people there feel the same as what this doctor says and she's told she's not allowed to wear a mask because it increases infections only gloves and a lab coat

It's amazing how many sheep there are in this world go home watch tv and the control starts out as fear then escalation into wearing mask

So what are the people who are trying to control us trying to achieve by making us wear a mask?

Conspiracy theorist was a term which originated from the CIA to classify those who disputed the findings of the Warren Commission into JFK's assassination

You question “all this” but seemingly accept without question whatever dodgy internet site told you that the CIA originated the term “conspiracy theorist “?

Pretty funny isn’t it.

About as funny as believing it's been debunked by incredulous sites like Snopes. Look into them when you have a minute

Perhaps it arose earlier not through them but they certainly "weaponised it". "False flags" are a real thing, check them out, Gulf of Tonkin incident which ramped up US involvement in Vietnam is a less controversial one than 911

Here's one bit of discussion on the matter. I get we won't convince each other by putting up one source against another. You'll claim mine are loopy and I'll claim yours are owned or behlden to a system. Either way, there are different points of view

https://ampoli.com/the-origins-of-the-term-conspiracy-theory/

I'm not here to convince you just to challenge what is being accepted, call me a contrarian if you like but it is a healthy thing to being open to alternate opinions. I respect your right to yours even if I don't agree. I may try to convince you otherwise but I won't call you an idiot or get personal

So no actual evidence then. OK

I rest my case

All you quoted was an article by Arthur Blair. Hardly 1st hand evidence. Arthur Blair seriously the pen name being George Orwell. I rest my case.

Not a lot of critical thinking going on here today. People prepared to believe a single doctor stuck on an island in Canada vs the overwhelming evidence that the Pandemic is real and it is currently out of control and killing thousands a day.

Don’t be to hard on your efforts here today Mike but there are a stack of divergent points of view, it’s not a single doctor, but you know that

I’d encourage people to expand their sources of information, a traditional media approach or even a peer reviewed science basis isn’t the be all and end all

Just like politicians, media heads and academics can be corrupted, perhaps even more easily

What you posted is someone whose “research” is based on the writings of like-minded individuals. He made no effort to question any of the propositions made by others because it suited his premise to accept them as right. Any credible researcher would look for material that might contradict their assertion like, maybe, the Oxford dictionary which cites usage at least as early as 1907. Have they been inveigled into the web of the CIA too?

You literally did just accept as correct a dodgy internet site...

It was just an example and technically he was Eric Arthur Blair

Could be a coincidence although as you’d probably guess I’m not big on those

It wasn’t meant as proof of anything, just that there are lots of different views our there

Views are fine, but sometimes extraordinary claims needs extraordinary evidence.

Anyway I don’t think we will ever agree. I’m more into critical thinking than anything else. I’ll go wherever the evidence takes me.

The evidence can be contrived and take you where they want to take you

Critical thinking is good, I’d encourage it at all times

Not a lot of critical thinking going on here today. People prepared to believe a single doctor stuck on an island in Canada vs the overwhelming evidence that the Pandemic is real and it is currently out of control and killing thousands a day.

Don’t be to hard on your efforts here today Mike but there are a stack of divergent points of view, it’s not a single doctor, but you know that

I’d encourage people to expand their sources of information, a traditional media approach or even a peer reviewed science basis isn’t the be all and end all

Just like politicians, media heads and academics can be corrupted, perhaps even more easily

It’s not a matter of view, it’s a matter of evidence. I don’t believe anything off mainstream media, at the best it may indicate the need for further investigation. I always try and link back to the source and first hand accounts. At worst I will look at sites like Science Based Medicine for a lead. If it’s not science based I’m really not interested.

I’d recommend this from Corbett, a great thinker and great researcher

It isn’t crazy to question all this and I'd encourage everyone to do so and don't believe everything your television tells you, even if it's not from some "backward country" whatever that means
...

Oxford hey, must be right then
Home of the Round Table Group which in many ways grows a branch which becomes the CIA

The origins of conspiracy theorists is a very minor part of my discussion, let’s not dwell on it. It was in response to disrespectful name calling

Now I know you are really pulling my leg. You really don’t understand what science is at all.

For those with differing points of view on this, I say deal with it and move on. Clearly there are some who question everything and that's fine - we're not here to convince one another otherwise - just shake your head and move on.
