Yes I realise I’m just yelling at clouds,

This is the point. The writing appears to on the wall. Listen to the press conference today. The message to me appears clear. Get vaccinated because we can't stop this. That is my read of the message and that has been the message for a while.

That’s exactly where it is at the world is opening up and the last time I looked we are apart of that .
Canada opened its boarders today for vaccinated US citizens first time since last March .UK and the EU open for business, the word is get vaccinated and live a relatively free existence.. non vaccinators good luck you will be living a restricted existence and visiting hospital waiting rooms . The time has come to live with this virus .. just had our second shot and we now feel positive, just need to be careful wear masks in appropriate internal areas general hygiene and stay away from the unvaccinated !

"Stay away from the unvaccinated".
Unfortunately some of those unvaccinated will be family members in some cases. That will surely cause problems.

That’s right reading an article from the US stating exactly that it’s a country of 2 divides . Families now choosing not to have large family gatherings as some are anti vaxers iinteresting times ahead . Also all companies and there tradesman ect need to be vaccinated as clients will not let them into there residence.

"Slow Motion Trainwreck" from federal independent Zali Steggall is a pretty good description of the current situation and one an increasing almost by the day vast majority of us in NSW are suffering from.

That's a good description.
I heard a commentator down here describe it as being like watching a replay of your football team play in a losing match. (Can you imagine that?). You're still supporting your team but you know that the outcome is inevitable.

It's just getting so frustrating and unlike you guys down south that always recieved clear answers to each and every question, even if it took hours, along with clear instructions. They tried to limit restrictions at first, realised their errors, admitted them and made better choices.

Your state went through it, learnt and provided virtual blueprints on what and what not to do for the world, yet the state next door, having gotten geographically lucky with the Northern Beaches, decided to ignore the lessons from within, let alone of their neighbours.

The role of the CHO is diminished in NSW compared to adjoining states, having only a voice instead of decision making power. A minister/s with health in the name, rather than health professionals making decisions during a health crisis.

Firstly, you're entitled to your opinion, but honestly, do you ever feel that your world view is totally shaped by the political party you support?

I never hear you say anything good about a conservative member even when they have objectively done a good job or have a social opinion without bringing politics into it.

You are sitting there praising Victoria, but Dan Andrews has been totally panned by the left, right and the centre for his handling of the pandemic in Victoria. Not to mention his Belt and Road deal...It's strange that you would have that opinion, when most people on the left would say his leadership has been atrocious.

It's hard to take your view seriously when I'm almost certain what your position will be before you've had a chance to express it. I'm starting to think you're just a stooge for the far left.

Since covid hit our shores I have complimented the premiers of all states, including Gutwein and Marshall constantly, Gladys on occasion, plus the federal government as well. Nationally usually only when they have changed tack to implement better policy in response to the virus, still, all Liberals. If you bother to look you will surely find both my criticism or praise on Covid to be consistent on policy over party.

Seeing you brought this up, irrelevant as it is, with belts and roads you will also find consistency from all the major parties when that was signed.

I consider myself centre-left, nothing more, nothing less and Andrews would romp in if up for election. Huge majorities await all leaders nearing election considered to have handled the virus appropriately.

What you tend to do with policy is attribute what you think are good policies to the left as in…if only x person followed this left policy idea from the beginning, we’d be ok, but finally they’ve seen the error of their ways. Anyway, just an observation.

You’re dreaming about Andrews “romping” in and you are dreaming if you think you’re centre-left.

PS - I didn’t even downvote your post.

Did that before Office. Loved it as well....I think the Office has even surpassed it (could be recency bias).

I prefer Parks and Rec but both are excellent.

All good shows but "Tales From Tiger Town" takes it to another level

It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, but strangely you can't look away

Mmk...

Likely for some Newcastle/Hunter lockdowns to be extended today, allegedly.

I think once summer hits, it's going to be extremely hard to keep people inside and not going to the beach.

Should be a rush to get this sorted as best they can before summer, IMO.

The cutoff points for the Hunter lockdowns were weird, ending at Muswellbrook and not including Aberdeen or Scone was a mistake and I would expect that to be extended.

Yeah, pretty weird...
I'm reading they'll extend lockdowns 2 weeks.
Likely, later today.

Feel sorry for everyone impacted, across the country.

My family are mostly from Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley and their local gov reps are all hinting at an extension and broadening it to reach further locations.
