Also, emotively titled Faecebook pages aside, nobody is being 'refused' entry to return home to QLD.

Maybe before making a heartless comment like you have above you should actually go on the sight and see for yourself before making a statement like that.

'Heartless' or 'accurate'? I can't read it as I don't do Facebook and it seems to require 'joining'.

I can read the following however:

https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions/travelling-to-queensland

Nobody is being prevented from returning home to QLD. If they've been in a 'hospot' (ie NSW) they need to go into quarantine for 2 weeks.

Same as when I returned home from overseas last year, along with many thousands of other Australians throughout the pandemic.

hospot lol

Yes... Do you disagree with that assessment? 😕

A rolling average of 10 locally acquired cases per day for 3 consecutive days in a metro area (or 3 per day in 'regional/rural' settings) constitutes a 'hotspot' as proposed by the acting CMO and noted by National Cabinet last year.

Both New South Wales and Victoria, with multiple thousands of cases per week probably still meets the criteria, no?

Mate, I was laughing at your unfortunate spelling error. Not having a crack at you, it was just funny.

Oh, now I see it... oh dear. :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

'**Hospots**' are probably equally concerning given the infectious nature of the delta strain. Probably best avoided too (or at least make sure everyone involved is double-vaxxed!)

Oh dear! Anastasia no donuts today in Qld!!! she might postpone the NRL Grand Final with her hair trigger reactive ego driven personality disorder.

She's done such a terrible job keeping us all safe and living normal lives.

Its not sustainable though.

And yet Queenslanders just keep sustaining it.
We'll get to 80% or 90% and open up and along the way we would've had a normal safe existence, free to live our lives largely however we want.

And then you will get cases, hospitalisations and deaths.

You can't avoid it can you.

Except if your one of the unfortunate people she refuses to allow back into their own state or the Billion dollar loss to the GC tourism industry.

Maybe instead of trying to dictate to the NSW premier about temporarily moving the border South it could of gone the other way north to allow the Tweed and Gold Coast to move freely.

For anyone interested - **Homeless outside of QLD due to Border Restrictions** - on Facebook is a real insight into the plight and reality for some Qlders stuck at the border.

Dead people, permanently damaged people, and 3 month lockdown is a real insight into NSW.

So I’m hoping you’ve had some variation of a covid shot to try and help alleviate being thrown into a another lock down then.

Anastasia government has unrealistically alluded to (by a freudian slip of the tongue) 90% to 95% covid cover until her government will align with the Federal Governments plans at 80% to try and get this countries economy moving again.

Of course I'm vaccinated.
I'm not a hillbilly.

I've never met a Qld'er who wasn't a hillbilly. Nice to meet you.

Israel have 70% vaccination now. Australia is listed at 62%. Let's see how this pans out but based on the data I've seen I think we will be good.

Looks like there will be some availability of use-at-home rapid antigen testing soon too:

I don't believe it's anywhere near as bad as that comment states.

Weren’t you one of the lucky ones that managed to get back home to Australia from overseas, very fortunate.

Israel certainly has some problems at the moment with the unvaccinated getting extremely sick and dying.
