Most people are sheep, that's why we have leaders because most people are easily led. I am fairly certain I read somewhere about the toilet paper being all bought up somewhere else (in another country) before it happened here. I suspect what happened here was people seeing that and buying it all up here thinking either it would happen here and they didn't want to miss out, or trying to profit from it.

It all went downhill from there. Why it happened elsewhere in the first place I don't know.

What we hopefully learn from this is that our leaders are rubbish at leading and need to step up or step down.

Chinese govt orders mate, so essentially a go figure situation . They have factories for TP

Who’s going to buy it? Us?

At least our super will look good with Woolies and Coles doing a roaring trade.

I wish, my super has lost $49,975 in just 3 weeks, banking on it bouncing back when it's all over.

Has anyone seen reasons given anywhere, why we are running out of CV19 test kits? Are there more on order? Where are they from etc?
It is apparent that epidemiologists see that as a major problem and we should be testing as many people as possible, but kits are being rationed. Anybody know anything?

Because they are being used world wide, there is currently a pandemic! ;p We have just set up to start producing our own kits!

. I understand closing schools will deplete the workforce, (estimated at depleting the health workers workforce by 30% due to child minding tasks) which they really don’t want to do unless they have to, fair enough. But there’s a lot more they can do which they aren’t.

Pretty simple fix for the health staff's children for mine. All they need is a skeleton staff of non-parent/guardian teachers at schools to carry on their studies with suitable separation, as well as structure programs for home schooling.

Ah that's not a problem
He doesn't get within 1.5 meters when he tackles
So the players are safe

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon is at again infuriating China by referring to it as the China virus. I'll side with Trumpy on this one as he's 100% correct.

Atm i agree, it is the China virus. When the dust settles the Chinese government will have alot of Qs to answer for screwing the world over and for failing to control this month's ago.

To be honest, people are doing what they think is right by stocking up.

In the absence of any real action by the government, this makes people feel like they're doing something to protect their family.

Fear and emotion always wins over logic.

What I don't get about the hoarders is that this isn't a natural disaster, the trucks are still on the roads and we can still get supplies from farms to shops. Govt is hugely resisting lockdown protocols, and even if we do go lockdown, the first response is going to be food supply to everyone.

So all hoarders are doing is adding to stress and stealing from their fellow comrades, which obviously by now they either don't realise or don't care, so they can't be helped.

And if descend into true anarchy, if it goes to looting and theft, the hoarders are the first people that get targeted. So it does you no good to have huge stores of food and toilet paper in your garage, because that will become the first thing the angry mob go after, your garage full of stock.

Of course it make no sense.

People don't always think logically.

Interested to know that when the dust settles, since a lot of the world has debt to China, whether action will be taken for China to make reparations on allowing the situation to worsen, and moreover, how the Chinese government would respond to that.

Except when racists see that as a dog whistle to attack Asian’s. And don’t say that wouldn’t happen.

👍👍👍👍 hopefully this is only the start of the needed retaliation to pull these fools into place and clean up there draconian health practices ! And this is exactly what it is the China Virus 🦠 spawned and delivered !!

I went down a conspiracy rabbit hole this morning. Do not make this mistake or you'll start questioning everything!

I'm now not sure now if this is not China's plan to retaliate against Trumps trade deals earlier in the year and destabilize the western market, dump stock prices and quietly buy up large chunks of the market and in essence take over more the globe with no army....or if its a CIA operation to take the focus off high level sex offenders or if its just that bats are so damn tasty. Who knows.

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon's China comments are a low act from a bloke looking to deflect blame ahead of the election.

At work we are in contact directly with China. They've been doing it just as tough as everyone else and have taken a massive economic hit.

The difference is that their government brought in lockdown laws really quickly and managed to slow the spread down.

Whereas our government has told us to stop shaking hands and going to the footy.

I fear that history will show they handled it way better than the west.

Mate, time to remove the tin foil hat!

This started because of China's poor regulation of its wet markets. While wet markets have a lot of benefits to local communities, China's lack of regulation in this area has led to some wet markets mixing with the live animal trade. The problem lies not so much in the wet markets but in the trading of live animals.

The Chinese also consume a lot of exotic meats, which in itself isn't a large problem if done correctly but again through poor regulation this has mixed with the live animal trade. What you end up with is some wet markets, such as the one in Wuhan that it is possible to buy live exotic animals to slaughter and consume! This leads to a super virus breeding ground where they are bringing animals in from all over the world that are stresses and carrying diseases from their part of the world. Many of these diseases are Zoonotic and can be transmitted from species to species, mutating along the way to best damage each new host. Eventually making the leap to humans and then we have your SARS, Avian flu, Covid19 issues.

It is really simple when you think about it!
