A message to our two friends who have been jumping borders illegally and putting people at risk who have no idea they are at risk

You can pay the cleaning / disinfecting bills of all the businesses you stupid cows decided to visit

I feel for Qld businesses who are impacted. We know the Qld Premier was just waiting for an excuse to close the border to boost her popularity. Politics in pandemics does not mix.

She has Paws , Saturday noon anyone from greater Sydney ( lol at Greater Sydney ) is barred from crossing the border

Yeah because that will cover the 11 strip downs these businesses face Ink ....not that the businesses will see a cent of the money

Means nothing they will not pay the fine anyway ... until the authorities get tough with mandatory short jail terms nothing is going to change . So what happens if someone dies through there negligence are there manslaughter charges laid ! This is serious and there actions should be treated the same , softly softly is going to create carnage over 700 in Melbourne today .

Vic has over 700 cases today.

A prisoner in a NSW Gaol has tested positive. Fortunately he had been kept in isolation without physical contact because he came from where? Vic!

Dock them through their tax, and if they opt to go on welfare, dock their welfare.

13 deaths reported today as well as over 700 cases.

Where is this coming from? I can see 9 deaths and 319 new cases for yesterday from covid19data.com.au

Man there are some extremely naive people in this word
I don't know if I feel embarrassed for them or sorry for them
Over 17,000,000 CASES REPORTED so far
Over 666,000 DEATHS REPORTED so far
This is after flight cancellations across the world
Cruise ship cancellations across the world
Country boarders being shut down
State borders being shut down
Small towns being shut down
Some suburbs being shut down
Hotel isolations
Self isolation
Wearing on mandatory masks in countries and now in Victoria
Strict social gatherings including sports events like our NRL
Overflowing Hospitals world wide
Make shift morgues
Mass dug graves in cities in the USA to help cope with the deaths
Deaths of young and old people
Deaths of doctors and nurses trying to same the lives of those infected , some of those being naive people

Any yet we still have people who don't believe in the virus or how deadly it is
A message to those people
DO YOU KNOW OR UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS WORLD WOULD BE GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW WITHOUT THESE RESTRICTIONS BEING IN PLACE

Yep, that's the point. All these global deaths, probably a million within a few weeks, are with an unprecedented shutdown of most of the world. Deaths would be off the charts if we had just carried on as normal.

That's a massive number for Victoria.

And looks like it's starting to slip out of control in NSW, cases are popping up all over Sydney, not just the south-west.

Paraphrasing our nation's leader that I just saw on the box regarding the devastating aged care covid situation; "This is a new situation that could not have been foreseen"

RUBBISH, they have had months to prepare for what was a probable scenario on the back of the Newmarch and overseas experiences!

Spot on.

No surprise at all. It happened in Sydney and indeed has been happening around the world. They've been caught asleep at the wheel on a federal issue.

The PM was trying to deflect blame by saying the Royal Commission will look into it - which is a lie, submissions close tomorrow and unless the date is extended, it's unlikely anyone will be able to pull a sufficient submission together.

Total scandal.

That which had come out during a somewhat limited terms of reference inquiry, was already well and truly sufficient to raise alarm bells. Whilst the Commissioners should be getting on with a preliminary report, there should be little doubt to the need of a recall to accept submissions on these very worrying current events in a month or so.

As I have stated previously, there had to be grace applied to judgement on earlier decisions in this pandemic, though especially for this well known most vulnerable area of aged care facilities, that period has long passed.

Qld scrambling now as it has become known a 3rd woman attended the party in Melb. and re-entered Qld without informing authorities .

News of the day is these are all Qlders and as much as she would like to blame Gladys.......

It was very upsetting for me when listening to and seeing the distress on the faces of those interviewed with family members in the Newmarch facility back in April. Seeing it playing out again over the past week or so has me now more so feeling anger, both at the lack of federal preparedness and the state/s for it's coordination with national counterparts.

Agreed, although I'll add that as much as I like to blame politicians, there's not much any government can do to stop morons deliberately lying about where they've been.

18 in NSW today with 27500 odd tests conducted.

Community as a whole needs to be disciplined and those social venues need to stop offering dining.

This should have been forseen and steps taken to ensure workers work at one aged care facility. Hopefully the RNs will deal with the problem.
