These graphs tell the story.

Covid-19 testing is severely flawed resulting in majority of false positives results. The graphs clearly indicate no direct relation between cases & deaths since day 1.

I will repeat myself, out of all the 'Covid' deaths to date, 94% of those deaths have been reported as having previous underlying health issues, you know the type of health issues that make up the majority of death stats on a yearly basis.

In Australia, 19 people under the age of 60 have reportedly died from Covid, only 5 of those under the age of 50. Not quite the 'deadly' virus some bang on about. This also doesn't take into consideration that some of those had underlying health issues.

The media needs to stop this nonsense of reporting 'new daily cases' the stats say it means nothing!.

You need to extract yourself from your echo chamber. This is happening whether you like it or not. Just be thankful that the front line medico’s don't have your same view.

You need to come out of hiding. Medicos are busy with their testing.. Business as usual in other departments. Stop the nonsense.

Unfortunately it’s isn’t nonsense, it’s real and happening now.

The biggest issue with this is it is spread so quickly that once it gets going it is impossible to keep it from the more vulnerable, and then you get a lot of deaths. I guess that doesn't matter as much if you don't think an elderly person life is of the same importance as the young.

Good to see zero cases over the weekend in NSW, even if the test numbers are down, with QLD also clear today. As for Victoria, with the first day at 5 or below, there are good signs that they will get where they need to be to reopen with reasonable certainty that they are on top of the virus in the coming weeks and possibly ahead of schedule.

I cannot fathom why some 30% of the VIC community would want to risk another setback for the sake of an extra week or two in stricter conditions, though I expect many of them would be influenced by the Murdoch media machine.

Strange how you indicate that I musn't care for life based on age. My posts are regarding flawed statistics & media fear mongering.

Every year the same amount of elderly & also young die from the same underlying causes. No one blinks an eye.

Mate those graphs DO tell the story, the same story as the CDC etc are reporting, trouble is you dont know how to read a graph or understand mathematics.

Those graphs show a clear correlation between cases and deaths and they are running around 1% of cases which is about right. Those graphs look a bit weird because of the scale which doesnt provide detail of the smaller data set (deaths) but it looks right...about 1-2%

CDC reported only 6% of the 'covid' deaths are related to Covid alone. 94% of the death stats have been serious underlying health issues..

This is not accurate. CDC reported that 94% of deaths had underlying co-morbidities not "serious underlying health issues". These comorbidities include conditions such as high blood pressure, that many people walk around without knowing. If you get a serious health impact (such as COVID) this can overwhelm your system and kill you but this very different to "they were going to die anyway" of those co morbidities.

Explain why the daily death rate hasn't spiked while the daily confirmed cases has over time. Where is this 1-2% ratio you speak of?

https://images2.imgbox.com/7e/57/EGGWsUoE_o.png

Daily death rates have followed closely to confirmed cases with the time lag of at least 14-21 days which is the average time it takes to die. Some take longer. The 1-2% ration is there in the image you are using to "prove" its wrong 1% of 300,000 is 3,000 which is exactly where the graph shows it. The reason that the lower graph (death) looks flat is because of the scale of the graph. YOu also have to factor into that the time delay to die.

Take your blinkers off, majority of the covid death stats have been elderly people with underlying chronic conditions such as heart disease, respiratory issues and other severe illnesses.

I agree the VAST majority of COVID deaths are people older than 60. You should go and have a look at what the CDC are calling comorbidities though. You cant assume they are all on the verge of a heart attack. CDC list high blood pressure as a co morbidity.

Hospitals in the US are paid $39,000 if they mark a death by Covid.. Scroll down to the video with Senator Jensen.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/04/24/fact-check-medicare-hospitals-paid-more-covid-19-patients-coronavirus/3000638001/

In Europe and many other countries, they have recently stopped marking deaths by covid in patients who have died with known underlying chronic health issues. It was a flawed stat to begin with.

Please feel free to post your own sources with stats showing how deadly this virus is.. I've heard nothing in Australia apart from retirement homes deaths & the ruby princess since the outbreak, hardly riveting stuff to lock down the country.

650 of 872 deaths in Aus have been related to Aged Care. You are making an analytical error in using "post lockdown" numbers to justify or otherwise whether or not a lockdown was necessary. If we didnt lockdown, these numbers would have been MUCH higher. I was tracking the numbers early in Mar-April and prelockdown the case numbers were following a very predictable path of exponential growth. This exponential growth would have resulted in expenential increase in deaths.

With regards to your whole argument regarding COVID deaths being overstated due to co morbidities, the CDC did an analysis of this as well and did a study of "excess" deaths (deaths over and above those to be expected by normal demographics and existing morbidities). This shows there have been between 207,000 and 270,000 additional deaths since 1/02/2020 than the normal expectation based on demographics. This correlates pretty closely with the reported death number of 209,000 in the US.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm

No one is saying covid doesn't exist, it may just be a more contagious strain of influenza.. Influenza kills too, we don't lock down borders over that do we?

COVID at the moment is 20 x deadlier that Influenza. The mortality rate for influenza in the US in 2017 was 20 per 1M population for an entire year. The mortality rate right now (POST LOCKDOWN) for COVID is 632 per 1M population over 8 months. If we didnt lockdown it would of course be higher.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/flu.htm

Fear mongering at its best.. Wake up

Mate I dont need to be woke. I am capable of reading and analysing actual data and parsing what it means. I dont need to rely on youtube videos. I suggest you get your data from more reliable sources and extrapolate your own opinions.

Sadly, in this case, it was a power trip by the chairman and his Marxist cult, nothing to do with 'the science', medical advice or police advice, as this enquiry has shown! No one gave medical advice, and police did not recommend curfew! In the case of the quarantine, there were no procedures, no training and no one was managing it!
What makes the whole thing frightening is that none of 'responsible' people was found 'responsible' as they all play 'I know nothing' and 'I don't remember'!
But somehow that all remembered to collect 500K salaries! :-1: :anguished:
Their lack of due diligence was responsible for deaths 700+ people and 'I know nothing' is simply not acceptable!

I don't understand the winding back of Job Keeper and Seeker in Victoria with it's current situation, as like elsewhere, it is not an instant bounce back, rather an economy that redevelops over weeks and months. Surely they could just jig the software to pay Victorians via their postcode within the national Centrelink system for at least an additional month and particularly so when they were $60 odd billion better off than their original incorrect figures for the assistance that wound back this past week.

Apart from the $300/fortnight drop in payments, we are also about to see many people removed from Job Keeper as eligibility is reviewed, to change over to from $750/week down to some $400 when placed on Job Seeker. Further to that, many of them around the nation will now be subject to the previously waived assets test that can have have them waiting up to 13 weeks before getting another payment. This could also affect people that have drawn down on their Super for security, that could now find those funds stopping them from receiving payments in the short term.

For mine, many centres across the country are about to get a large financial shock, none mord so in rural areas where the payments have held local economies together.

Agreed, and have thought this since Victoria went into lockdown, a lockdown that was much tougher than the first.

Absolutely agree. Those in VIC certainly need additional support.

Anna has Dr Young looking into airspace. That Qantas flight to nowhere went somewhere, from NSW over the border to Qld. She intends to slam the airborder shut unless of course you are AFL, a yachty, trucking magnate or want Anna to make a cameo in a new film.

Annastacia Moneyszczuk Has no ethics or moral compass.

Well it will cost her the election ......

Polls are saying very differently. Who would vote for the Freckle and her neanderthals anyway.

Known Annastacia for a very long time ..she's a class act ..but her actions during Covid will bring her down

i'm sorry but the woman is a moron. So now we have the stupid anomaly from Oct 1 of any Qlder can travel anywhere in NSW even though she still says all of NSW is a hotspot and return to Qld and not need to quarantine. However a person in Lismore which is in the QLD bubble goes to Grafton which hasn't had a covid case for 6 months or more then returns to Lismore has to quarantine for 14 days before entering QLD. Thats the whackiest policy made up on the run that i have ever seen.

My whinge is probably personal as well i guess. We booked a holiday to Cairns in January. We are meant to go on November 7th. I live near Port Macquarie - where i live has had no covid cases at all and Port Macquarie has had none for 6 months. Our flights are booked from Brisbane. So i would be travelling from an area that has had no covid cases whatsoever directly to Qld but i won't be allowed in because i live in a hotspot because the idiot in charge up there is having a [This word has been automatically removed] fight with the idiot that runs NSW and wants to punish everyone in NSW because Sydney has a few covid cases. I hope Qld go bankrupt. They deserve it.

I don't mind her having the bulk of these restrictions, particularly so regarding Sydney remaining in place until after the school holidays in an adjacent state that is still getting over an outbreak, even though well controlled and me living in an area that is counted as Greater Sydney despite being much closer to Newcastle.

If there weren't still traces of the virus in the sewerage system from the various city collection areas, then I would be in favour of demanding the border be open say two weeks after the kids return to school for clear regions and possibly the city region if the trend continues. It only takes one infected person mingling as part of and amongst an irresponsible group during this high level travel period, for them to then take it back to different communities and us all backwards again.

I hope to be able to travel north in November as well, so fingers crossed that our fellow New South Welshmen act in a Covid safe manner to allow it.

Queenslanders have a shock coming .. this virus is not going away anytime soon ... THE population of NSW are showing how to deal with this we have to live with it ! Queensland is not going to be able to hide from it for to much longer as there scorched earth policies will totally bankrupt the state !
Time for Queenslanders to face reality as the virus will be coming !

Don’t worry it will all change after the election, it will all of a sudden be a priority to get the economy moving and those from NSW will be welcome with open arms.

My whinge is probably personal as well i guess. We booked a holiday to Cairns in January. We are meant to go on November 7th. I live near Port Macquarie - where i live has had no covid cases at all and Port Macquarie has had none for 6 months. Our flights are booked from Brisbane. So i would be travelling from an area that has had no covid cases whatsoever directly to Qld but i won't be allowed in because i live in a hotspot because the idiot in charge up there is having a [censored] fight with the idiot that runs NSW and wants to punish everyone in NSW because Sydney has a few covid cases.

Yep I understand all that - but it seems ridiculous that i can just drive down to Sydney, stay at hotel within 5 klms of the airport overnight, fly to Darwin and stay in the Nthn Territory for 14 days without quarantine and waltz in to Qld with no problem. Yet i can't drive up to Tweed Heads which is in the border bubble and stay there for 14 days then go to Qld. I will be refused entry because i came from a hotspot. You can't tell me thats not a crazy policy.

The policies are politically motivated pure and simple. That’s why they appear crazy to rationally sane people.
