Israel, with a similar population to NSW, reported 16.629 cases today and 43 deaths. 80% of the population are vaccinated and are already giving 3rd booster doses.

Firstly good luck with your personal situation, I'm sure you'll be okay.

As for the Israeli situation this is where I was going with my earlier posts they weren't meant to be negative but earlier this year was thinking that the coronavirus will disappear into history by Xmas but sadly this won't be the case because the vaccines while effective don't stop the spread completely.

Heard of another 2 fully vaxed deaths with underlying conditions in Sydney this morning, I know they had issues but that's the people that need protection the most. People in good shape with reasonably good physicality even in their 90s have high survival rates .

Very depressing, seem this coronavirus thread will be going a long time unfortunately.

And again, good luck , sure you'll be right.

Glad Australia were at the head of the queue according to our PM, else we could be in lockdown as a result of being closer to the rear of the line and many months behind where we could be.

I'm out for 14 days. I am considered a close contact and will have to get tested every three days. I've had my initial test and results will be in prior to midnight. My two sons as well who will not be able to visit their mother for 14 days.

Mate, keep us updated and hoping all stays clear. Sorry to hear your kids cant see their mum.

I literally just got of the phone to my daughter, her mum had a case at her work and so I wont see her for a couple of weeks.

I dont claim to know the answers but for some reason Israel seems to be some sort of outlier. What is going on there is so different to what is going on in UK it seems a different variant but supposedly the same (Delta).

I received a message from NSW Health to get tested and self isolate after a person was known to be positive at woolworths, but the message arrived 9 days later?

Sorry to hear that.Unfortunately it is just the way things are at the moment.Stay safe and good luck

Contract Tracers in NSW are a week behind in checking its crazy.
They are now looking to recruit extra contact tracers via nurses and getting some of them to to overtime contact tracing
Not sure what happens at present if you are a close contact and double vaccinated do you need to isolate for 14 days ?

It's not just contract tracers, my wife is an OT and will have an extra shift on Saturday making phone calls to covid positive cases to do welfare checks. The entire system is being smashed at present.

Don't worry, notifications are currently a shambles. My wife works in a group of medical centres.

One had a patient test positive after they had been there, NSW health advised, the centre was closed for deep cleaning. Was later found to be a false positive test.

Another centre had a patient who received a positive test result the day after they had visited the surgery. That was last week and there has still been no sign of NSW health.

The only thing that is working correctly (if you don't include the dribble being spewed forth) is the 11am scoreboard.

Really nice that Ana P and deputy have locked out a 3 year old boy currently in Griffith from going back to Queensland to be with parents.
Yet they let in a plane load of nrl players families.
Queensland
Arrogant one day
Heartless the next

Sense has prevailed and the 3 year old will be allowed to returned to his parents.

Hope all is good with you.
But I'm a bit worried for me - I haven't had any vaxx today and I definitely am a bit hazy!
