possibly population density?

I heard people in the middle east don't like social distancing too much like myself really. Contact tracing as above posts say, masks and social distancing isn't a sustainable life style long-term .

I suppose if vaccinated you want normality .

But seems not .

Very depressing

I love it how people get offended when ever a company tells then to get vaccinated. People are leaving Telstra (people using their phone plans) because they recommended people to "get vaccinated and we are all in this together". Tbh I don't see how that is considered getting too political. They posted it on their instagram story.

We all have to come to grips with these new additions to our lives .. this is here I reckon for at least a decade or until they get the vaccine that stops individuals from passing it on .. it’s nearly 2 yrs now and how far advanced in reality are we as a society .. the sooner we face these new rules the better moving forward and that’s living with this virus.

Don't tell Janet Young, she'll recommend nobody gets vaccinated.

Frightening, we have to move a a virtual world. Might watch Total recal haha.

But seems I've been down voted for not wanting 10 years public health measures after vaccination and you got upvoted for highlighting where this game is are sadly going.

Shows some people are happy enough to continue this way.

At least the forum will have increasing traffic lol.

Maybe more pay for moderators.

Its not a race

Hey jad.Im in the Southern Highlands NSW,Moss Vale...just had a phone call from my ex that the local IGA supermarket has been shut for deep cleaning...apparently a covid positive shopper has infected the place...recorded on Mon 30th Aug...I have been there shopping this week but havent had a call to isolate as of yet....wish me luck, doesnt look like I will be going to work just yet and our lockdown will probably be extended....cheers...

Don't worry, notifications are currently a shambles. My wife works in a group of medical centres.

One had a patient test positive after they had been there, NSW health advised, the centre was closed for deep cleaning. Was later found to be a false positive test.

Another centre had a patient who received a positive test result the day after they had visited the surgery. That was last week and there has still been no sign of NSW health.

The only thing that is working correctly (if you don't include the dribble being spewed forth) is the 11am scoreboard.

NSW health contacted this afternoon and advised to close the practice for deep cleaning. 1 week after the positive patient came through.

Israel, with a similar population to NSW, reported 16.629 cases today and 43 deaths. 80% of the population are vaccinated and are already giving 3rd booster doses.

Don't think the Palestinian population are counted in that.

Sad but true and as I wrote days ago, they have long lost control of tracing. No blame on them, just how it is and wouldn’t be an issue if not for others Gold Standard grandstanding prior.

Thanks, back to rationality.

Obviously we have all made sacrifices social and lifestyle over the last 2 years and even worse some have got seriously ill and passed away sadly. For me and many others we have also taken big hits job, business and money wise some people will be permanently financially ruined because sadly the government support measures didn't help everyone. Certain things including footy club's will disappear, can't have no crowds or club's shut or semi open.

Can't have people like above posters into isolation away from families for 2 weeks for going to a supermarket fully vaxed, I mean hey if your vaxed and come down with a flu for a few days no big deal, life went on footy games were played. We need to make a decision .

But as free societies if we are indeed that we need perhaps the public to be asked to a vote in a plebiscite perhaps that if if we and 80 plus people are vaccinated life return to normal.

Or do we continue this way for many years. I can't believe restrictions like this would ever have been countenanced in the past even without vaccination let alone vaccinated.

Perhaps we can have a poll on this.
I'd love to know how people prefer this to go.

Once we hit 80%, the only restrictions will be to protect the health system from collapsing, if you can't see that being important then I can't help you.

It's very important.
But, people are putting their faith in vaccines and reopening. Isn't that why we are getting vaccinated, otherwise whats the point.

But at some point life must go on
