Daily case numbers declining for the 3rd or 4th day running today....too early to be confident?

They generally peak mid-late week as testing is always down over a weekend which leads to lower numbers on Monday and Tuesday.

I hope it is the case though and the vaccination strategy is paying off.

In good news for the Blue Mountains we are down to 38 cases. We had about 30 odd older/inactive cases wiped the other day by NSW Health and a couple of recoveries updated yesterday.

You still gotta get past your super spreader event at the beach from Saturday yet ....

The figures for meeting second jabs in terms of % are closing up. All the people waiting for second doses must all be 16-49yo waiting for Pfizer.

I get my 2nd Pizer jab on Thursday. I just wanna get it over and done with so I could start doing the old things again.

Yea brother, got mine today...
We'll still be waiting for normality.

Was about to get off and then I saw @Snow-Tiger with a new thread - "2021 a hard year however there's reason for hope." and have decided to hang on for at least another year.

Even more influential than you, that @Snow-Tiger.

Just as an interesting aside to the often debated "all vaccines are the same/Pfizer is proven better than AZ/Just ask your doctor" discussion, yesterday my partner was talking to our doctor about vaccinating her 17yo daughter and she strongly suggested to wait until the Moderna is available In our doctors opinion Moderna (in young people) is more effective, safer and will be soon readily available in pharmacies.

Got downvoted for telling the truth about what my Doctor recommended.....

"Get advice from your Doctor"...........unless its goes against my narrative. What a healthy environment for truth and dissemination of important information this thread is turning out to be...and Earl says he has me on ignore.

Update:

Following day: feel fine, arm hurts. Same as last time. Pain went away after a day last time, hoping the same again this time.

The vaccine it's self is extremely painless, as in when you're getting needled.

Urge everyone to get it done, nothing to worry about.

Fully vaxed crew ✅

Glad to hear you are feeling well

Had second injection 4 weeks ago by young nurse at local VAC centre-doesn't matter which vaccine. The injection was too high on deltoid muscle causing bursitis. Can't lift arm sideways from horizontal without pain. Will give it time but am recording progress with my GP (not injector). If permanent will have to go legal.

Hardly felt my first shot, but comparatively the second one felt like she drove a steak knife in my shoulder at the time.

IT was weird, I'm good with needles and everyone told me that they didnt even feel the vax shot. Had the vax shot sitting next to another bloke, he asked the nurse if it had even gone in, then mine actually hurt.

I just received a social media message from Mayor of my local LGA (via my partner) stating that for over 15yo my LGA was 93.3% first vax and 60% fully vaxxed. I was actaully surprised and impressed. If the whole of NSW or Sydney gets to those numbers, I think we will be OK.

Haha, yep. Graeme and Peter Wynn both played for the Maggies. Some great footballers came out of that group including the Cleal brothers who played for Warialda. My family left for the big smoke when I was three.

Yeah Werris Creek have switched groups a couple of times, they spent some time in group 21 as well.
