Many of us have had many athletic conversations in regard to the Covid virus, irrespective if we agree on things that have been installed to "protect"the community or we dont, but somewhere the line has to be drawn on certain situations...
A Melbourne couple who reside in Victoria applied to get an exemption to cross the border of W.A to identify the body of their 20 year old son who committed suicide in the state...THEY WERE REFUSED by Magowan because he wants to keep his state safe..the couple were both double vaxxed...
The couple relied on people of the community to get their sons personal things....
Source 10 news.....

Now we can all have huge conversations for and against in regard to this topic and call each other con theorists, lunatics extremists or whatever...but in my eyes this is completely wrong from whatever point of view you carry....
Hopefully we all put aside our own personal beliefs and consider this situation with an open compassionate heart ...God bless this family in their time of grief....

They went refused they had to quarantine for 14 days.

Do you mean they had to Quarantine for 14 days when they arrived or came back...
It still doesnt detract from the grief they would be experiencing and compassion surely could have been regarded with in this case especially that they are double vaxxed..

Of course their grief is understanerble and the WA govt decision is crap... But
yiur "research" once again is terrible... Get your facts straight

They needed to quarantine upon arriving in Perth. They weren't refused entry.

Ok got it...although I thought that double vaxxed people only had to show neg test results, not sure mate.....and Im not making an issue of it just having the conversation...

No problem here. I just thought that needed to be corrected.

Ch9 reported it saying they were refused entry in the headline, then gave all the facts in the article. The amount of bullshit about WA coming from media based in melb/ Sydney is remarkable. I've got friends and family in Sydney that believe NSW prop up WAs economy.

It's just for someone who continually tells others to "do their research" you probably should be correct when stating things... Citing blokes that think there are alien lizard people among us in high places and making stories out to be worse than they are doesn't do yiur cred any good

This is interesting.

It's still early but:-

1. Omicron appears much less virulent. It looks really positive.
2. It's spreading extremely quickly.
3. Vaccination may be working reasonably well.
4. Younger appear more at risk but this may simply be due to being unvaccinated.

I didnt say there were lizard people around...I gave a different opinion of what a person higher up in the scale of things stated...he has an opinion just as you do...doesnt matter how absurd you think it is,,,but once again you think that your opinion is the only one people should give credence to....you may have your followers on this forum but in the real world it is a different kettle of fish....you have your opinion and others can have theirs ...who is right and who is wrong is up to the people you hold in high regard to decide, whether its your mates, govt or corrupt doctors and scientists...it doesnt matter because you and I and your followers wont have a say in the final decision....love it or leave it....

I didn't say you said it.... You encouraged people to listen to someone who thinks he's the son of God and half lazard half humanoid aliens hold all the positions of power on earth.
Yes you're well within your right to do that but I'd say.most rational logical sane people would think that's just plain crazy so expect some criticism.

I'll leave it there

If this is the case, I’m one of the minority that made the right decision not to get vaccinated

I agree Ink...just to clarify,my point was that many people probably think there is some truth in what David Icke was stating, same as people think that UFOs are real and Aliens live amongst us..is it up to me or anybody else to belittle them for what they believe ?
What is truth...
What is false....
Once again we are people who can freely think and form opinions from what we are told or read...
I may not be right....you may not be right ...but we have the ability to think freely and form opinions as human beings...

you read point 4 right? either way we will know in a few weeks.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-12-12/nsw-covid-19-first-omicron-case-in-hospital/100693638

https://www.smh.com.au/world/africa/new-south-african-hospital-data-supports-signs-omicron-is-milder-than-delta-20211212-p59gub.html

quote "Of the patients hospitalised in the current wave, 86 per cent weren’t vaccinated against the coronavirus, Jassat said. The COVID-patients in South Africa’s hospitals now also are younger than at other periods of the pandemic: about two-thirds are under 40."

Omicron cases are now being admitted to hospital.

The UK have stated it will be the dominant strain in Britain soon. I think this time we live through the whole brunt of the 4th wave. I just hope that it's as per the information we have so far.

People will die. People will get sick. Hopefully it's a lot less than in previous waves.

I don't like this attitude. I view this as part of what is wrong with the world and I blame Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon and the right wing conspiracy nuts.

We need to talk facts. Then you can have an opinion on top of those facts. You don't get to make facts.

You've copped it from going into that rabbit hole and to me it's wrong. I don't know what you do about it though. Ideally people would learn to actually think critically. That would stop the lies and BS straight away.

The vaccinated appear to be safer. I'm not sure if that is behavioral or demographic based (younger people appear to be more likely to be unvaccinated).

Hopefully though the unvaccinated are predominantly safe. I'm sure some will die though that didn't need to if they just got vaccinated. That is a pretty big cost to pay for a stupid belief system.
