Oh well Indias fault for not taking DRS. That call for not out was so bloody brilliant.

Haddin, Watson etc need to stfu. Let Johnson and kohli go at it. Hope it doesn't get out of hand

Why give up with 4 overs to go with 4 2 ices to get? Anything could happen. Very poor from Steve Smith…..he might slip as my fave player after this test.

Been following Hazlewood since he was 17 so very happy to see him doing well

Who's better than Smith? No one mate, he's a freak. But I don't base my favorite player on who is the best. It's just a gut feeling that I like someone. For example, I loved Mike Whitney back in the day, and he certainly wasn't one of the best

yeh I dunno…some cricket purist might be able to explain that but it seemed odd to me....you just never know and a hat trick only takes three balls we had four overs left

A mathematical impossibility I could understand...this wasnt one

Pretty negative of Smith. I thought the Aussies were suppose to be aggressive. Anything could have happened. Back in 2008, they needed 3 wickets in the last over and Clarke got them all. Here, they couldn't take 4 wickets in 4 overs with their attack? Great confidence shown in your attack.

ok, if I had to choose one, the only guy I watch intently hoping he does well is Hazlewood. So he's my man for this era.

When I was young I was mad for Steve Waugh, absolutely mad for him to succeed.

Dhoni announces his retirement from test cricket effective immediately. Not a bad thing for Indian cricket as Kohli will take the reigns and should have a much more positive approach if Adelaide is anything to go by.

Dhoni is a worse captain than Cook. Absolutely abhorrent tactician.

Don't have a problem with them pulling up stumps with four overs to go. If I were Smith I'd be wanting out of Melbourne as fast as possible.

Guessing they'll rest a few for Sydney. I'd say Lyon and Harris will probably be rested. Warner too, with his elbow.

Wouldn't be surprised if they play two spinners, Agar in for Harris. Interesting selection, Agar was dropped from WA for a game IIRC. His Shield bowling form has been poor too, taken 5 wickets at 60 odd.

Lyon won't likely play the ODI's so I don't see why they'd rest him.

dhoni is a bloody great captain- probably the best thing to happen to indian cricket since sachin, ganguly, dravid and laxman. i disagree about him not being a great tactician- however, one of his strengths has always been player management whether it be senior players or the youngsters.

his biggest downfall was that he was never able to adapt to test matches. he's a real outside the box thinker and if you follow his t20 and ODI career you'll see it.

i'd say he has retired a year or two too early. as we saw in this series, kohli is in no way capable of leading a side with his lack of maturity on a full time basis. imo, it's a weak and selfish decision by dhoni to abandon ship now- he could've given up captaincy instead of retiring.

all in all, a great player- usually selfless and puts the team first. hope he can dominate ODI and T20 and keep the world cup for us.
