And a final point , the one thing I don't think anyone could have predicted before this Test was the Indians quickies would out bowl Australia's quickies

Well they have , bowled far better lines and had far better plans to our batsmen than we did for India's batsmen

India would be mad not to take tea now

😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

What have I done ….....

I've been following this game for many a year

Has Australia won a tight Test match in the last 40 years , I search my mind .......can't think of any

The losses just fill my mind ......probably one against every major cricketing nation

hmm australian quicks struggled but mostly they struggled on a day 3/4 adelaide pitch

the indian bowlers had an inferior batting line up to bowl to as well tbh

as much as i love this win, i feel it's gonna have an asterisk due to the smith/warner situation

Our quicks were going to be our be our strength going into the series , if you take out the runs they scored , they got out bowled

Starc in particular , how many wides/byes did he cost us alone

I can’t believe we got close,we were out played for 80% of the game. Tail showed plenty of ticker, but we are in for a few years in the wilderness unless we can find a few top order bats.

I don’t know, I would be tempted to identify a couple of kids who look like they could make it, throw them in and stick with them for a while. Players like Renshaw and Mat Ryan.

One thing for certain is our current battling line up will struggle to get 300 on a flat top and if the ball is doing something 120 is a big ask

Umm - maybe Smith and Warner after this series

Warner
Harris
Khawaja
Smith
S Marsh
Head
Carey
Cummins
Stark
Lyon
Hazlewood

Not too shabby!

Be very interesting to see how Warner and Smith go after a year out of top class cricket and plenty of mental scarring. Bancroft is the one I hope can regain his form and spot
