I would rather watch the men’s A grade cricket than watch the women play anything.
As I have said many times they sold us out for T20 cash and woke women’s sport. I seen 2 mins the other day and the stands were empty.
I think that’s the first time I’ve used the word woke.
Anyway shits me no end that I can’t watch all first grade/class men’s cricket on FTA.

This is always the case and is our point….CA are useless and riding the coat tails of the team and sometimes it’s opponents. If we were hosting the Wests Indies this summer, different story. Whenever they make administrative decisions, they fall on their face. My local pub side would beat most womens T20 teams. Why are they getting so much free coverage?

You can thank the fkn imbeciles that handled the TV rights negotiations that allowed a pay TV service to put all Australian men's limited overs fixtures (both ODI and T20) behind a paywall.

BBL/WBBL and women's international cricket is the token offering for FTA even though all 'Australian' fixtures are supposed to be able to be broadcast on FTA as part of the anti-siphoning regulations.

I'm so upset about this, speaking as a fan who can't always get to every game etc - like most people!

Modern sports administrators are now only going for the big bucks from media rights - and to hell with the mass coverage for the ordinary fan.

And it's the same for all the football codes, Geez, even the swimming is behind a paywall.
 
T20 cricket is destroying Cricket as real cricket fans know it .
It was invented to double the market size by appealing to the other half of the world who had no interest in cricket .
Franchise versions are meant to capture a fan base that will follow a particular team on a tribal basis like we do in NRL and AFL but for me its different
I will always follow my NRL team because my family has followed it since 1908
I can't get excited about the Sixes or the Thunder with their roster comprising players from any state or country
In cricket I'm a fanatical fan of one team that is called Australia
The IPL with a population base of 1.3 billion is a huge market and so Starc gets a contract of $4.5 mill for 2 months work .Not picking on him but just using example !
The other 10 months don't seem as attractive .
For the future I recommend 20 over cricket to be only "franchise" !
International cricket to be only Test and 50 over cricket
My opinions count for zero as money and ratings rule the roost
I have no interest in the WBBL and very little in the BBL
NOTE the shorter the format the more likely upsets can occur its just plain maths

Mrs Head has come out and said her husband is in top form in the hallway, he’s never hit the nerf ball so cleanly, and will be ready for a big summer of tip and run.

Mrs Head, I love saying that. I wish my last name was head, I’d have a few pet names for Mrs Head. I bet he doesn’t call his son Richard.

Nerf ball, do they still exist? I’ll have get that into the nostalgia thread, @tiger_one.

I still can't understand why our test stars couldn't play the 3rd ODI
If they had played it would have only reduced the gap from 14 days to 12 days and they are not using the first 6 days to do any preparation at all
That's just family time that's all
Maybe had to keep them happy as Travis and Mitch got a couple of months off
Cummins was able to see Cold Play and interesting Carey spent today opening the bat for South Australia ( and successfully I might add) in their 50 over domestic where they flogged NSW.
My theory is that 14 day break is player driven arguing that they have 5 tests straight over max 47 days . Its probably about 20 playing days over the 47 so they get plenty of rest imo
I guess its all about player welfare !

Points to note
Maxxy got a few out of the middle 43 off 19 balls
Bartlett and Ellis outstanding with the ball .They would have been handy in 3rd ODI
Aust 4-93 thrash Pakistan 9-64
Big win was needed coming off 9 and 8 wicket ODI losses
