One of the worst overs I’ve witnessed and I played plenty of park cricket.Did someone say we need Marnus to bowl.
No? Well he’s bowling anyway just before tea.
Your right they measured it 49% hittingI think less than half the ball was hitting the stumps
He has a career bowling average of 21 (better than all of our pacemen I’m pretty sure).Take away Boland’s 6/7 against a village cricket Pom batting line up, what’s he ever done? Nothing extraordinary about him.
Taken 2 catches this innings surely that’s good enough for a recall 🙄Great catch by marsh. That’s a park cricket wicket lol
I thought he’d do better in UK.He has a career bowling average of 21 (better than all of our pacemen I’m pretty sure).
In this test he got our best figures in the first innings taking wickets of Kohli and Pant (and Deep). He also hasn’t got out allowing us to score 80 runs in this test for the 10th wicket partnership. If he got ducked then India would only need 140 to win off about 35 overs.
Additionally in Adelaide he got 5/105 in the match including Gill, Sharma, Jaiswal and Kohli (and Siraj). Not as many wickets as Starc who is a beast at day/night and Cummins who got 4/5 of his second wicket innings from bouncers and mostly tailenders. I’m pretty sure he also got dropped in the slips like 3 times and had some umpires call lbw’s go against him in addition to his first ball no ball (that’s on him though).
Sure he’s not been as impressive as his initial home series where he averaged 9.55 and almost topped the wicket charts playing 3 games, but he’s been very consistent.
Still after playing 8 test matches and bowling 215 overs in Australia his bowling average at home is 14.80. So take out that 6/7 and he still has a test bowling average in Australia of 17.66667 in 210 overs so yeah that’s pretty good.
But what has he done for us lately!! 😅😅He has a career bowling average of 21 (better than all of our pacemen I’m pretty sure).
