They've dropped four wickets for 15 runs. Into the tail now… They've disintegrated.

And by golly, it couldn't have happened to a better team.

I wonder if Clarke could be a hero with the ball today as well with the track flattening out completely for the quicks ??

I rate Clarke as a part timer. He should bowl himself more often.

Aaaaaaaand he takes the wicket of Tendulkar.

Get your pillows ready, the game has just gone from a run chase to 4-and-half sessions of stonewalling. If Laxman goes, they're shot.

If anyone was doubting CB and I are dead set geniuses  Mate shouldn't be long til we are on commentary team 😱pen_mouth:

 I'm happy on this side of the TV/Radio Happy.

In all honesty though, I don't know why Pup doesn't bowl more, he always snares a wicket or two when things are stale. He's a genuine partnership breaker.

Good day at the cricket, I thought I was going to see Sachin's 100th ton, would have been great.

Very good performance by the Aussies.

I quite like Nathan Lyon as a bowler, he's clearly not shane warne, but who is. Even Warnie struggled against the indians. He is only 8 or 9 Tests in, he is miles ahead of any other spinner we have running around.

It is not reasonable to expect players to come into test cricket and dominate from the begining of their career, we were spoilt with a side of players heading straight to the hall of fame, that is not normal, most sides have a number of players who a role players and get a job done, that is where Lyon fits in, if a star comes along in the spin dept, he will certainly come in for Lyon, but until than Lyon is doing a reasonable job.

Since Clarke has taken over we are 5 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws…..that is a quality record.

Do I say Australia on the way back??

sadly i dont think he will play the next test and possibly the last. the waca is traditionally a pacemens pitch so with harris being fit he will probably play. adelaide is a bit hard to say but wouldnt surprise me if lyon doesnt again.

personally i think lyon is easily the best spinner australia has to offer at the moment. he has a little bit of things to work on but he is young and very raw and inexperienced so once he gets a few different variations going he won't be ousted for a long time. we are picking a lot of players with very low first class experience, cummins pattinson warner and lyon just to name a few but they are winning and will only improve the future looks bright but its getting consistency from the young ones and the players that go out within the next few years haddin hussey and ponting will be hard to replace but the kids need to step up and push for the number one ranking once more. we play the poms basically 10 tests in a row from mid 2013 to the end of january 2014 so that would be the goal to knock them off and get to the top with the youngsters

C'mon CB admit Really you'd love to hear Tony say " And back to the central missionary position with CB and Happy"

james pattinson has injured his foot out for the series, so thats what 5 or 6 bowlers injured now at some stage starc and harris called in so maybe lyon will play now

Cummings is just about right for Perth I think someone said. Harris.in for Patto and Cummings for Lyon. Clarkey, Hussey & Warner can trouble the Indians.

I hope so but maybe India aren't all that good. Warner is a real dynamo in the field. Great win by the team with a number of stand out performances and room for improvement particularly keeping.

Shaun Marsh finally gets some runs…

India's attack is weak as. Zaheer coming off ankle surgery, Ishant in need of ankle surgery and no Harbejan. If their batsman fail, they don't have the bowlers atm to get them out of it. England are a class above everyone atm. Looking forward to the England v SA series coming up later in the yr

I reckon the Indians are paying the price for not bringing Harbejan Singh personally

I think Harbahjan was a bit over rated, his bowling had become too defensive in my opinion. I think they needed to look for other options.

Jazza 79 wickets in 14 tests v Australia is pretty handy especially seeing against the sides he played against is very tidy imo

It's not so handy when you look at his record in Australia. 9 wickets in 4 Tests @ 73\. His last 15 Tests, he has taken 51 wickets @ 41\. When you consider that 7 of those tests have been in the subcontinent and another 3 have been on the spinner friendly decks now a days in the Caribbean. I dont think they're great figures.

Personally he offers far more in all aspects Handy with the bat and a good fieldsman also Loves playing against us and a few of our older batsman have had issues with his bowling in the past

To bring his last series he had a lot going on with the Symonds "monkey'issue I don't like the guy personally but he is a better option than the current spinner imo and still only 31

Thank god Harbijan is now a spent force, he is in my top 10 all time most dislike sportsman of all time, and to make matters worse was very successful at times against us.
IN recent years however he has been rubbish, father time gets everyone eventually.
I thought they were grooming the other spinner, who is on tour, Udal or something similar, his name escapses me, they played 2 spinners in the Caribbean and Aswin has gone past him, IMO Ashwin looks only average.

GNR, Im not hugely sold on England being a great team, I think they are a good solid team with 11 good players, with most of them in good form. I they dont have the fire power of a great team there is no Gilchrists, Haydens, Warne or McGrath's or Richards, Haynes, Marshall, Garner, Ambrose in the english team,
The current England team will win more than they lose, however will not dominate like other sides. I expect the Saf's to give them a good run if not beat them.

On the Saf's how good is Jacques Kallis, where does he sit in the history of cricketers, 13000 runs at an average higher than Tendulkar to go with near enough to 300 wickets at about 30.

That is like Tendulkar and Brett Lee rolled into 1 player!. I think he must sit next to Sobars (if not above) as the greatest all rounder of all time, and possibly the second best cricketer ever beind Bradman.
