@stryker said:Draw was a great result for us.
Top order didnt fire and Watto was missing. Add to that Duminy will play no part in the series and we were rusty.
Psychologically we won that game.
A double and 2 centuries, we werent bowled out and we did it all must faster than they did. Our blokes will be sleeping better tonight than theres will be.
@happy tiger said:Great last two days by the side ,we gave the Saffas something to think about for Adelaide
Bowling attack still looks unbalanced , maybe Starc might replace Hilfy as Adelaide isn't known for being a ground where the bowlers get much swing
I didn't know that Watto was a famous cricketer as well CB
Are you a batsman or bowler Watto and can you supply us with your stats ??

I understand his backyard cricket averages are amazing even with his well noted issues with the six and out rule.

I could care less tbh Just find it funny how everyone tries to play selector at the first sign of trouble without considering the fact that we just might not be good enough no matter whose there :astonished:
I get frustrated at the selectors lack of courage. At some point in the recent past it was ordained that someone needed to score hundreds of runs over many Shield seasons before they'd be considered hardened enough for Test cricket. The result of that policy is the procession of thirty something's making their debuts. That's all very well, but the policy backfires when things turn sour.
Once upon a time Australian selectors had the guts to pick players on potential and attitude, Waugh and Warne and Border being examples of that approach. Thank Christ Warne isn't 21 years old at the moment, he'd retire with about 200 Test wickets. The selectors don't back themselves, they play it safe, I assume because the rewards are so great these days
@happy tiger said:My only issue with the South Africans (and the Sri Lankans also) is they seemed to play a lot of series vs the Zimbabweans and the Bangladeshis during the middle 90's to the early 2000's
Some people's records are far inflated than maybe they should be
@happy tiger said:Heard something on the radio the other day and had never noticed it before
Amla doesn't wear the same shirt as the rest of his teammates due to strict abhorence of alcohol due to his religious beliefs
And every game he plays where he is supposed to wear the shirt and he doesn't he is fined
Bloody harsh in my opinion

I thought he successfully contested it due to his Islamic faith?
@Wacko Jacko said:Disgraceful descision by selectors not to change side
Won't be watching and hope they lose
@Yossarian said:Apart from possibly Shane Watson what changes would you have made? Hope they lose? That's a bit harsh!!
