No wonder Clarke has back problems, he carries the entire team. The rest of the batting line up are as weak as p. India have a solid day of batting tomorrow and the Aussies will be staring down the barrel once again

The Indians are now showing how good a batting track this is. We'll be lucky to get them out for under 400.

You're being very kind. 500 at least me thinks. If they only go in 1 or 2 down they'll have plans on only batting once

Did we seriously think Doherty and Maxwell were going to do anything with the ball on this tour? 10 overs for 90 odd runs just before the new ball.

Staring down the barrel of our 5th straight loss on Indian soil. In fact, since we won the 3rd Test of the 04 series to go 2-0 up we have gone:
2004: L
2008: D, L, D, L
2010: L, L
2013: L and on track for another loss in this match.

The Indian commentators are now saying we should send an SOS to Hussey.

LOL again.. two allrounders.. maxwell and henriques
getting rid of lyon for doherty.. srsly wtf? O_O

Sheens must have a job with the selection panel.

Watched the first session this morning. Vijay and Pujara showed some brilliant patience and concentration to wear down the Australian "attack" despite scoring at a slow rate.

How embarrassing getting thumped by a team with such little athletic/sporting prowess.

This Inverarity clown must depart before we end up in a similar state to what we were in post 2010 ashes. Hmmm…Xavier Doherty, wasn't this the same bloke who failed dismally in his first test cricket stint and still has a FC bowling average of around 50? And Glenn Maxwell, a good prospect in years ahead, but who has really only proven himself in limited overs cricket, being far less demanding than test cricket.

Thought we may have learnt from our first experiment with this bloke back in the 2010 ashes when he looked about as likely as a blue moon.

You're talking about the Indian cricket side for Gods sake, one player of which is in the top 3 to ever play the game. They are hardly minows when it comes to cricket

Aussies are embarrassing though. Have not won a single series of any significance since the 06/07 Ashes series

The number 1 sport in a country of 1 billion people playing a country that has about 22 million people and is only the number 2 or 3 sport.

Didn't we flog these blokes last year gunners?

Truth is our blokes have been brought up playing on great pitches whereas theirs haven't. They are ordinary on most other countries grounds and we are ordinary on the sub continent.

When we played them over here we embarrassed them. They will reciprocate this series.

The original point was CC was trying to make India out to be Bangladesh, i mean CMON. Sure they underachieve but they ain't that bad

England just won a series there before Christmas which tells you where both sides are at heading into the Ashes

india got rid of their top 3: gambhir, laxman and dravid since that tour.. replaced them with pujara, vijay and jadeja (allrounder)

not to mention the pitches are helping their style of play.

How embarrassing getting thumped by a team with such little athletic/sporting prowess.

i dont understand what you're trying to say?

You've misinterpreted me gunners, by no means was I trying to make them out to be Bangladesh rather that they are just a pissweak cricket nation considering their population, demographic etc.

Technically not as this is practically a different side to the one that was out here

LOL this is the most idiotic statement ever.
it's not about HOW many good players you can produce, you look at what the best 11 is in the country.

India have all the time in the world to do whatever they want. Bat all day tomorrow and they'll be 400 in front, leaving themselves with 2 days to bowl the Aussies out

Do India really need 2 days to bowl Australia out.

Imagine our side without Clarke.

England must be licking their hands with our current team to contest them against the Ashes.
