LMAO!

IT wouldn't be right to say the returning English cricketers dodged the media scrum at Heathrow Airport on Monday night.
>
There was no scrum. Not even a half-decent front-row. Just a reporter and cameraman from Sky Sports - the network currently paying the England Cricket Board $540 million over four years for broadcast rights - and me and my photographer Will.
>
When I say Will is my photographer, I'm stretching the truth a little. He's my son and he's 13 years-old. But he did get a camera for Christmas….....................................

Melbourne Stars will be gutted. Clearly the best team all tournament and save their worst performance for the semi. The last months work all gone to waste as they even miss out on the lucrative Champion's League invitation.

Tonight's game will probably be low scoring. A few showers yesterday and a bit of rain around today probably resulting in an underprepared wicket (by T20 standards that is). Lining the remaining teams up I'm leaning towards Hobart winning the lot.

And after a disastrous Ashes campaign the ECB has responded by ending the career of their best performed batsman on tour. What a rabble.

Best performing or not, Kevin Pietersen has only ever played for one party: Kevin Pietersen. He's toxic and the decision to punt him was the right one. I wouldn't put it past the egomaniac if he tried to go back to Seth Efrika and claim Kallis' vacant spot.

It would suck to be a Stars player but that's the draw for now.

KP getting sacked is no surprise. They don't have the depth to cover him at the moment so expect the English to struggle.

Also on the big bash last night, I feel channel 10 blew an opportunity, they had Cam Smith as the KFC celebrity catcher, so why not ask the guy what he thought about Tim Paine's comments about the Stars' playing roster.

The biggest problem with the English side is Cooks captaincy

Sydney Sixers loss means 3 hosts 4 in the final of the Big Bash.
Simmons 3rd top score in the Big Bash is 9\. His top 2 are hundreds. He certainly fills his boots when in.

i go for the scorchers, and havent they pulled some victories out this season?!! seems like every game they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, and tonight it looked like the rain would beat them. hope it is 3rd time lucky for them in the final after hosting the last two and losing both.

They have indeed Turnstyle. I reckon Hobart will be looking forward to a return clash at The WACA. They are sure to feel hard done by after the loss to Perth a few weeks back. That over where Coulter-Nile was given two LBW decisions was a joke. Neither were close to out and it swung the game dramatically.

Sydney's bowling last night was pathetic. You have a left hander who likes cow corner and you keep bowling length at him. Get a couple at his throat and then take the pace off it.

Hobart in my opinion go into the finals as favourites. They have the Australian T20 captain in Bailey, the player of the competition in Dunk, along with some handy batsmen to go with them in Birt and Paine. They also have a strong bowling attack that blew the Stars off the park the other night.

All that doesn't matter if the Scorchers opener goes off again. He has the potential to win a game by himself with his power hitting.

I'll be plonking a bit on Hobart. Really well balanced side and peaking at the right time.
Perth rely heavily on Simmons to fire and the rest to chime in. Hobart have more guns. Bollinger loves the WACA too.

Scorchers with the win last night. I didn't see a ball but the scorecard reads fairly convincing. Well done to them.

The Marsh boys killed it. Their late partnership took the game away from Hobart, who were always a chance until Bailey (who also batted very well) got out. The Hurricanes also fielded pretty poorly.

yeh, i personally was very happy both marsh boys did so well. they cop a lot of criticism.

i think it was really the lack of depth in the 'canes batting that let them down after their great bowling lineup allowed a score of 191.

great for the scorchers to get a win in the final… finally!

yeh i remember that over glen and cant but agree with you there. i was surprised by the decisions myself. could be a case of confirmation bias by umpires when a player gets attention, so they are just that little bit more likely to give a favourable decision.

Watson is injured and won't play the first test. Apparently Doolan is assured of a spot and Hughes and Henriques are fighting for the other spot.

I'm pretty sure it's a hamstring strain or something similar
