Almost a lead of a hundred thanks to the wagging tail and Captain Smith. These will be crucial runs.

definitely Peaches , this must be frustrating the living hell out of them . This is a good lead already 95+ and what ever else they get will be a bonus.

Good day for the Aussies. India did well going to stumps only one down. However I'm predicting the ball will swing more in the morning. Shaping as another great test..just like the last one.

What's going on with the playing surface at the GABBA? The pitch is fine but the outfield is shocking. Real shame that the WACA doesn't get a Test this season but that potato farm does.

I've heard them talking about a grass disease before. Perhaps it still an issue? Though I'm pretty sure the stadium design means some areas don't get much sunlight if any at all.

This match is an interesting position. There are a couple of cracks emerging but it's still a really good batting wicket. Hopefully we'll knock them over sometime after tea tomorrow.

I blame AFL for the poor condition of the ground. I've got no facts to base this on..just blind hatred of AFL.

India have all the talent in the world, their problem is they don't have any heart. Allowing numbers 9, 10 and 11 to put on over a hundred runs for the last 2 wickets was disgraceful. Luckily for them they have a few world class batsmen to make up for their inept bowlers. If they could set a target of around 250-275, that would make for another cracker of a last day, but in order to do that they'll need big hundreds from one or two, and the tail would actually have to contribute.

They completely re turfed the entire outfield at the end of the 2014 cricket season

Very dry off season as well , I don't know if they are connected or not Glen

Dhawan injured in nets session. May not bat so they could effectively be three down.

I honestly can't remember anything like this bar McGrath injuring his ankle in England

And what was the young journo saying

They used the wrong training nets ??

You'd think that someone from the ground would advise them which training net to use

Bit of pandemonium going on , they've just lost another wicket

Sounds like the Indians need a whaaaambulance in regards to their complaints about the net conditions

You get uneven conditions everywhere , you deal with it

If however the Australians nets are playing more like the conditions at the Gabba that is wrong

You take the risk of being injured every time you pad up. We all know this, especially given recent events.
