Completely my point that was a stumping of a guy who raised his foot in losing balance. No where near the same thing
Yeah righto. It's not what you said. You said "were they batting out of their crease or trying to get a quick run."

Patel was doing neither. He shifted balance inside his crease after leaving the ball and Bairstow stood there for several seconds before whipping the bails off. It was even more opportunistic and desperate than what Carey did.

I look forward to your next series of revisionism.

I thought I was in the majority but seems like I'm in the minority with this opinion. I think if any of the following occur such as keeper in control of the ball, umpire calling over or batsman tapping his bat or foot in the crease, it's a deadball. The period of time when the ball is with the keeper to the point where the bowler releases the ball for the next ball is grey in cricket and both sides shouldn't run nor get people out.

I'm still glad it happened to the Poms though.

No, it's over when the umpire calls it.

And if the period of time between the keepers gloves and the bowler is a grey area you're pretty much asking for stand up stumpings to be removed too then yeah?

Mitch Marsh is ripping the heart out of this pommy attack that had our top order in so much trouble.
14 fours and 2 sixes in a very dominant 88 not out.
He and Head have righted the ship somewhat with this 120 run partnership from just 132 balls.

The best century of this Ashes series so far has just been struck.
Mitch Marsh take a bow…100 from 102 balls after the top orders shat their dacks.
Outstanding effort.

A run/ball 118 for Mitch. 17 fours and 4 sixes. Bravo.
England very fortunate to get him out…he was looking good for a double today and that may have broken their backs.
Head and Carey need to capitalise on that innings and frustrate England all arvo if possible.

Australia have batted like chumps today…All except Marsh have looked shitscared.
England will bat like Mitch did, scoring big and scoring quickly.
We can’t miss any chances or we’ll be staring down a 250 run first innings lead.

Interesting days play,we are almost 200 in front and England have 7 wickets left.Marsh who i am not a great fan of saved our proverbials and batted magnificently.
The late collapse could hurt us but i suppose you can't always rely on the tail to get runs

Stayed up till 3.30 am . MITCH YOU STAR ! WHAT A KNOCK
THE 2ND FASTEST HUNDRED BY AN AUSTRALIAN IN ENGLAND EVER !!!
He was brutal wasnt he?
The rest looked timid and very defensive.
He stood tall like a man and belted them.

Yep another cracking day of test match cricket. Aussie’s a tad lucky the Poms catching is so poor. You also have to wonder why Woods has not played in the first two tests, was he injured?? We are also lucky Archer has been unavailable , put Woods and Archer together and you have a seriously good opening attack.

Anyway great dig by Marsh to at least give the bowlers a total to bowl at. With Woakes and Ali in the side the tail will not be a push over as in the first two tests

Yes, England have prepared decks and selected sides to favour their bazball approach, ignoring the fact that most Aussie batsmen struggle against the ball movement of the Duke.
More consideration towards nullifying our top and middle orders may have rendered more favourable results for them. Had they held on to Marsh and Head when they were early into their innings, Australia would have posted sub 130. That attack last night had our boys very worried.

Yes Marsh out for 12 is a very different game!

Was interesting the commentators were saying in the break or pregame that Woods is injury prone and (tounge in cheek) said that he struggles to play 2 games in a row. They were saving him for this pitch basically.

You have to win more than one game. It’s a weird approach.
