Smith is one of the greats and I was really surprised to see so many calling for him to be dropped. He would go back to Shield and easily be the best player there. As todays innings has shown, he isnt as fluent as he used to be but his problem solving and hard work is 2nd to none. I would expect a solid but not spectacular next 12-18 months and he goes out on his own terms. Ideally you have Warner, Khawaja and Smith retire 12-18 months apart.
