Last 2 weeks we have been outnumbered 3 to 1 against Souths and the Dogs

I understand they are the premiers and runners up with a heap more members.

Maybe if we get on a roll the fans will come flocking back.

However seems to be a real apathy around the Tigers at the moment. Our home game last night and there would be lucky to be 6k Tigers fans there.

Not only the numbers but our fans seem to have laryngitis….

Poor scheduling plus what you said ^^^

Yes it will be packed probably our last Sunday arvo game at this ground ever!

crowd numbers being down across the whole NRL so far this year have been well documented.
something the NRL has to look at before it gets worse.

Of course the crowd numbers are down… what do people expect... Wests Tigers have the biggest fickle bandwagon supporters in the game.

Over 98% of so called WT supporters are bandwagoners who base the support of the WT on which ground, day/night, colour of jersey.

Why would the NRL look at crowd numbers?

Thursday night - non event.
Monday night - non event.
Few Saturday afternoon games.
Few Sunday afternoon games.
Obsession with night football.
Huge ticket prices.
Huge stadiums with a handful of people (great atmosphere).
Channel Nine and Fox running the scheduling.

No problems - They'll just keep their head in the sand.

A few years time - they'll ask "We have the greatest game of all"
Why are there huge crowds at alternative games.

Dah!!!! Mr Smith, Mr Richardson and Todd Greenberg (What a threesome).

The game is slowly dying because tv dictates to the fans.
All fans want minimal night games and mainly Sunday arvos but no one listens. The AFL will be what the kids are watching in 20 years maybe sooner

…and those people would include people who like Sunday arvo games because it is easier to get to, people with young families and people who just like going to a ground with some atmosphere?
Not 'real' supporters in your eyes?

Thats what happens when you play a home game at the Bulldogs home ground.

On the topic of last nights crowd, I cannot believe how immature and disgusting the bulldogs supporters are.

What i witnessed from a 25ish year old, bearded bulldog supporter was nothing short of disgusting. When they kicked that field goal to win the game he turns around and starts giving it to a young tiger supporter (about 7 years old) and his father for a good 1 minute, almost leaving the young fella in tears. Bloody disgusting and made my blood boil to the point were I was so close to saying something. I opted not to out of fear of being shot or stabbed. But seriously, there is no place for these people in our game or community.

AHHHHHHHH I HATE THE BULLDOGS !

They hunt in packs the Dog fans. I didn't think they were that bad personally, i've seen much worse from them at games, but they were making my gf pretty nervous cos you just never know when they'll go off.

They're alright as long as you don't provoke them. But they're just poor sports. Like seriously, giving it to a 7 year old boy is pretty disgusting. I can understand giving it to other supporters after a win like that but a 7 year old ? Says a lot about them. Imagine giving it to their 7 year old child, i wonder how they would react…

Walking out of the stadium i overheard one of them saying "lucky we won, we nearly got robbed" :crazy

I have a similar story. I was at the Dogs-Parra pre lim in 09 and there was a moment when Bryson Goodwin scored a try and Hayne came in with his knees. From memory it went upstairs and they were deciding if it should be an 8 point try. Anyway when Hayne went in with his knees, the crowd naturally boos. There was a guy in a Parra jersey sitting a few seats down from me, sitting there minding his own business, and i looked down a few rows, and there was this maniac in a Dogs jersey looking back pointing at him, doing the slit throat sign. At first i thought the guy must have thrown something, but he didn't, he just was a Parra fan, and this nut case was taking out the act of foul play to one of his players on the field, on a poor guy sitting by himself, minding his own business in the stands.

A few of my mates are bulldogs supporters and they can't stand the majority of their own supporter base. Along with dragon supporters they are hands down the worst supporters in the NRL.

My gf and i were sitting in the Tigers section about an hour before kick off and a guy in a Dogs jersey comes and sits in front of us. He only sat there for about 10 minutes, but he was the nicest guy i'd ever encountered in a Dogs jersey. Said he had just moved down from Townsville and joked that people often can't believe he's a Dogs fan due to his ethnicity. Said he felt out of place in the Tigers section but i told him i'd much rather be a Dogs fan in the middle of the Tigers section, than a Tigers fan in the middle of the Dogs section.

This is disgusting and you should be able to report it. I'm pretty sure the Bulldogs would take it seriously. All fans have ratbag supporters. The only times I've been abused for wearing a Balmain jersey were the times I went to Brookvale. I went there about 6 times and most times they gave it to me. However, I have witnessed some disgusting Wests Tigers supporters. When I'm back home I try to get to some games… doesn't matter who's playing. I was on a bus to ANZ stadium a couple of years ago when they were playing St George in a semi-final. Can't remember the year exactly. The bus was packed with Wests Tigers supporters and there were only 2 Saints fans... or Saints fans who were wearing the colours. Anyway, it was a father and a young son who was about 10\. There were some guys who were around their late teens or 20s on the bus with their parents...? They were drunk and chanting so-called Balmain songs. They then started having a go at the father and son for supporting Saints and saying how Saints were going to lose. It wasn't really bad except for some foul language but it was still intimidating. I was already angry because of the Balmain chants, but I just said nicely "come on boys." I just glad I hadn't been drinking... Dutch courage. It sh#ts me when league fans copy English football fans with their chants and behaviour.

Tony 33,wish I was there I can't stand dirty low life supporters that don't respect mother or fathers taking kids to the footy…I would of punched the crap out of him and told him to respect who the children are ....they are our future,as well as the parents bringing the kids and paying good money to help pay the wages..no time for disrespect,I've done it before, wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but that's just me.....
