Just goes to show u it doesn't take much to outsmart the scarecrow, funny stuff. Well played Siro….

I'm not a JT apologist and in fact will be glad to see the back of him - however I am sick of this constant JT bashing and blame for everything that is wrong about this club. Grow up and live with the fact he is here until the end of this season. I gave you a neg rating - I would have given it to anyone of the other repetitive JT bashers but yours was the first post I read.

Thanks champ, you most kind and I appreciate your thoughts….
But really, u don't mind people laying the slipper into farahs head for the war in Afghanistan.....
Please...

No actually I blame Goerge Bush and his " weapons of blah blah " for the war in Afghanistan. As for Australia's involvement I blame that little US puppet John Howard. Did Robbie have any involvement? Who's to say - but I certainly didn't apportion any blame to him.

Chances elsewhere but after we ruined him. Sheens had a damaging wide running back rower and tried to turn him into a prop. He never got back to his younger size and form

Sironen has been very good defensively this year. He just doesn't run hard enough, play the ball quick enough or hit hard enough. Big assumption but I think his issue is in the GYM as for such a big frame lad he lacks muscle mass to me its a lack of training.

Interesting to see what happens to him if he spends the rest of the yr in reserves. Obviously out of of favour, and might not have much of a future as long as JT is here. Might not have one under the next coach either for all we know.

Very surprising at first, thought maybe the club knew something and despite his poor form had some high hopes.. Then realised it was Siro's option…. :brick:

Yep. If the rumours are correct that he has spit the dummy, than it seems to validate JT's decision.

I don't know where the "rumours" came from but his decision reflects well upon him and is hardly indicative of someone dummy spitting.

It's a pity JT hasn't been told he is free to look at other options. Still, Siro's manager has just delivered JT a large suppository. Very funny indeed.

If as stated he isn't on big money then this decision reflects well on him. He needs to add more to his game but he may come good.

Gonna be hard to find a club while playing reserve grade. But, yes, well done to the Sironen camp.

Its quite a headline when you think about it

Sirro commits to the WT's and a few thousand WT's fans get committed to the looney bin upon hearing the announcement

Not doubting you but I just re read the announcement and it doesn't say anything about taking up an option. Have I missed it? Can you direct me to it?

From the WT media release -

_"Sironen said he was excited to have extended his contract with Wests Tigers after **taking up an option for the 2018 NRL season.**"_

Looks like I might need to go to Specsavers! Lucky it wasn't a brown snake!

We ruined Bronson. Despite getting other chances, he never nailed down a spot. He was like Michael Chee Kam a power running centre who can play in the back row. Sheens tried to turn him into a prop.

It ruined his development and career.

With Sironen, he should've transitioned into the back row via a season or two at centre. Its exactly what the Sharks are doing with Jack Bird and it's what I've been saying should have happened with Sironen for a year or so now.

You can't go from a ball player who runs sideways more than forward, as most halves do, straight into the back row. Its woeful and has ruined what could have been a great player.

Sironen has been very good defensively this year. He just doesn't run hard enough, play the ball quick enough or hit hard enough. Big assumption but I think his issue is in the GYM as for such a big frame lad he lacks muscle mass to me its a lack of training.

Its because he was a five eighth.

He hasn't been properly trained how to play the position. Running good lines. Running at inside shoulders, running as a decoy/option.

Stuff he could've learnt in a transition year or two at centre.

madunit - it's easy to state what you are saying but it's impossible to prove it. Bronson probably was never a quality NRL player. He had his moments but he just wasn't that good.

The same may be true of Sirro.

I like Sirro. He can hit in defence but he doesn't offer enough at this stage with the ball.

Well this proves he not the smartest guy around. It's not as if he's only played a few games in the pack. Unit, you would agree that the learning is on the training paddock, day in and day out? Game day provides the measuring stick.

He is still being found short so back to reggies which I believe will be the better arena for him this year. If he can't adjust in the lower grades, then his days are numbered.
