I go back a long way but i cant recollect us(Balmain Magpies or Weststigers) ever finishing in front in a deal with manly. We certainly are a loooong way behind, lets hope this squares up the ledger a little.I remain an optimist but the realist in me knows better.
Yes sirro has been ordinary but he does have ability

The signed Moltz didnt they?

Hehe you are right i forgot about him

Manly got the best end of the Ballin deal look at how many minutes he played for us.I dont care how little he cost he was rarely sighted.

You totally disregarded his off field contributions. Surely your not that stubborn to say his not a champion bloke and his influence on our youngsters, members and community has zero value?

Ballin is paid to perform on the field. He has been a terrible signing based on that.

The way you are going Steve is that we are the 1st club in the history of rugby league who has bought a player who got a major injury soon after coming to the club

Jordan Kahu didn't finish a single game for two seasons after two ACL injuries

It wasn't like it was a situation like a Chase Stanley or Moltzen where they had have multiple knee injuries

Maybe we shouldn't re-sign Tedesco based on your logic …..

It happens , blaming Taylor for a player getting injured (especially a bloke who is recognized as one of the fittest guys in the comp ) is really pissweek to be honest

If we paid Blaire money on ballen yes. But the club expressly said they got a good deal on him. So stop making out like like its a big waste signing

You are 100% correct. He has been a great signing. I think he deserved player of the year last season.

I can only hope we get signings as good as Matty Ballin going forward.

Happy - come on dude. This is going into crazy territory. It's a simple statement that Ballin has so far been an extremely poor signing. That is pretty clear cut.

If you are bringing up the great JT it's probably worth noting that the Ballin signing has probably been as successful as JT's coaching. Personally I wasn't going to mention it but I'm glad you bought it up.

every single thread…

Yep - predictable if nothing else!

Yeah I'm sorry guys , I swore when I came back I'd stay away from the JT v the World threads and comments , but like a moth to the flame …...

Yeah but this is the problem Steve , Ballin could win the Dally M and the Clive Churchill in 2017 and you'd still be on his case for 2016

The tide is still out on Ballin , it was a 2 year deal and he could come out and might kill it next year

Again this is what gets on my goat , people want to death ride every decision Taylor makes or has been involved in (rightly or wrongly ) , let him finish what he started and see where it ends up

Again and I've said this a few times now , every person should be praying that Taylor is on the right track , because if he can achieve what he is setting out to achieve we will be in a great place for many seasons to come

This is what has me :brick: , why would people wish for ill against a club they love (no matter whether Charlie Manson or Geo was coaching ) ??

That a certain person is a certain Tiger05 that was banned a few years ago …....

The old Moltzen lover himself .......

I can't believe members even attempt to talk to him.

As with quicksand and lawyer vines, the more you try to respond to the situation the more trapped you become. In his little quagmire, the best response is no response.

Happy - I definitely want the club to perform next year and I want the coach and all the players to kill it. I also think that we can.

I also have no idea why anyone would wish ill of the club and state how bad our squad is and how we are no chance for next season. I'm definitely not doing that though. I think we have a great squad and can compete with the top teams in the comp.

I am 100% convinced that Taylor has been beyond ordinary in his time here. Yes he improved significantly last year but he still created a whole bunch of drama for no benefit with regards to Robbie. That doesn't mean that I want the team to fail or I believe that this team is destined for a dud year next year. I think we definitely make the 8 and we could give the whole comp a good shake if we get a good run with injuries, some players step up and the coaching staff get it right.

Farah did a good enough job of running himself out of town I'd reckon. JT just finally did the dirty task that no-one else would do.

Good to hear

Good luck to Curtis if he takes the move to Manly. The performance of both he and Robbie will give us a benchmark to measure against. Should be interesting.
