I live at Lake Cathie just south of Port Macquarie. There is only 1 reported case in Port Maquarie - a 14 yr old school kid. Might change if people from Sydney come up for Easter and school holidays. Shoping at our local woolies was the same as everywhere else - bedlam - however i noticedsterday their shelves were better stocked yesterday and the panic buying has seemed to have died down a bit.

The longer this goes on the more people will settle down with the panic buying, hopefully we are starting to come out the other side of that part of this now!

Maybe not so much settling down as there are only so many idiots, and now they’re already fully stocked, at the expense of regular people up until this time, of course.

You'll be able to spot them in a year when you go to a birthday party and that are serving 63 types of pasta salad, including 4 with GF pasta, and one with those green shells no one has bought.

How are you in your home with your family?
Are we still hugging our kids... Are we kissing the missus?
Are you social distancing at home?

No social distancing at home, basically if someone in your homes gets it you all will anyway. Keep your home as normal as possible because outside your home is a whole new world!

Damn.......staying indoors sucks man....no 'decent' live sports to watch, limited food and/or money......most things are closed.....it's just, depressing

We are now changing work clothes as soon as we get home... Change in the laundry and straight into the basket... I always wore a fresh shirt but would go a few days with the shorts... No more

100% trying to keep things at home as normal as possible. I have a 4 year old and he is pretty in tune that something is up. I worry if his preschool closes he may go months without interacting with other children and how that will affect him long term.

My work has said to work from home from tomorrow, I had already told my wife that I was doing my minimum hours and no more before they put that in place. Being with family is more important right now.

My gf is a social worker in a hospital, so she’s on the front line. A patient was tested on her ward today and the results came back negative luckily. But you feel in that environment that it’s only a matter of time till she’s exposed.

Yeah my daughter is 6 and is an only child. She is all over what is going on, I am also really worried how she goes without the interaction school gives her, she loves school and is so social, unlike me lol!

A workmate, new dad with a 8.month old & full beard shaved his beard yesterday... The young fella was quite confused by the new bloke walking out of the bathroom with dads voice but not too bothered... But he freaked out today when stranger dad came home..

That happened when I shaved mine off when my daughter was young. I actually spoke about shaving mine off over the weekend and my daughter was not impressed so it has stayed for now!

I have direct contact with about ten people in the USA, not what I would call friends, just people that share an interest in audio. I was having another chat with one guy early Sunday morning after learning that his grandmother had died and then found other members of his family are affected, one just confirmed, plus another guy in the industry that I also occassionally converse with, that has been released from hospital and is now getting over the virus at home.

Whilst a ridiculously small sample size, I still find it quite amazing and especially so at this early stage, that I know one person who is infected and another with family affected by both fatality and further infection.

Only child here as well. He has cousins but don’t know if we will be able to see them as one sides mum has MS and the other cousins share a house with a 96 year old. Interesting times ahead for our young people, I hope that they come through okay mentally

Yeah my daughter has cousins as well but they live 4 hrs away in the country and live with my elderly parents so it is probably not a trip we can make. We were supposed to head up there for Easter and now that trip is probably off. I don't know how a 6 year old can go for up to 6 months with no contact with kids her own age!

Number 1 priority ...... keep yourselves and your family safe and healthy until all this blows over.
Only then think about rugby league, WT and next season.
Keep safe.

Yep. I’m trying to get my head around that as well. How can kids be kids without others there own age? I’m really not sure how to address this

Me either, she has been asking me for an ipad for ages and I've always said no as I'm not a big fan of them for young kids but I've spent tonight researching them online as something as a distraction for the next few months. It's hard as her birthday is in June and she started planning it 2 months ago, writing out lists of who she wants to come.

Just try and keep them busy I guess, lots of arts and crafts etc!
