Daine Laurie #237

Laurie, Stefano, Simpkins, Simpkin, Tuilagi all have that extra in their games. You can feel a revamped team emerging. We just need to hold onto them.

making of a good side, Simpkin will be the one hard to hold on to. No way a club will let him sit in reserve grade for a year someone will come knocking offer him a big deal and he will agitate a release

Daine Laurie Is the most successful signing that our club has made since a teenage Benji Marshall. He is just one of those players that has time, that when they kick the ball to him you just know he will catch it. That will clean up a loose ball properly, will make a bad pass look good by scooping it up and will only pass the ball to a player that is in a better position than him. He has that football instinct like Inglis, or Barba, or Blacklock or Slater has. You just know that he grew up in Northern NSW with a footy in his hands passing it around with his mates from the time he could walk.... plus he is tough and wants to win! I as a lifelong Tigers tragic am declaring right now that we have finally got a good one, that we can build a team around and I just hope and pray that the Tigers management can see that.... if Daines career follows the path I believe it possibly could, then I really believe we could be seeing a Daine Laurie stand at Leichhardt oval sometime from 2045 ..... well at least that is my dream for him at the club.... 😀😎 Thoughts??

He'll be a first grade regular mid way through the season I reckon. I hope we're already talking to him about extending. It's a matter of when he makes it, not if.

2045??? LO?

Better be at the Wests Tigers Arena in Liverpool.

If they are still playing out of LO in 2045 something has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

A bit early to call but he is certainly a good signing.

Has been solid as a rock in 5 games for us, I think we should remember that when he has an inevitable off day. Hopefully still a bit of maturing to do physically too. Our spine has some upside IMO.

Yeah it's hard not to be excited. He looks like a great fullback but I feel like his future lies in the 6 ala Lockyer/Munster.

How about just Daine Laurie..

these the 'next' never end well

Keep rippin it kid..

A little bit of a young Benji on his body type but his game has a lot of Ewen McGrady

He reminds me of Ben Barba. The difference is he seems like a good kid with a brain in his head.

What are you basing that off? I’m guessing nothing

He's a gun, can't wait to get him involved in the rest of the attack

Were really only seeing his skills from bringing the ball back from a kick

Exciting!

The way he attacked that bomb on Wests 10m line and went on to make a mini break was fantastic to see.

Yeah he looks so comfortable under the high ball like nothing fazes him. I'm not nervous at all when he's under it. What a talent. If he gets another 5kg on his frame he'll be really hard to handle as he has natural strength.
