This is not OK. I really like Laurie but he should be sacked for this.

How can we ever be taken seriously as a club if we cop the likes of this.

Imagine how it will be taken as a club if we sack a player for wearing a rival jersey that he played in 12 months ago.

We would be crucified

If you downvoted and disagree and think we should sack a top 3 Rookie this season for something like this, you are a deadset moron.

He is way out of line mate, he should not be in another clubs kit, sure frame it, have it on the wall at home, but to wear it out celebrating with Panthers fans, what a moron.

Well, honestly, what's the difference? If he's a mad Penrith fan at home, what's the point of being closeted about it in public?

All I really care is if Laurie plays good football and tries his best every week. There are certainly other players I can accuse of not putting in, but Laurie isn't one of them.

If anything, Laurie's reaction to the GF win shows Tigers what a winning club culture is truly like - that even ex-players are still happy that their old team-mates won; that the relationship of the club extends beyond the just the money and the contract. I could only wish Tigers got to a point where our roster was so solid that we had to let good players go, and those players were still emotionally tied to the club.

All that being said, didn't stop Laurie and Tamou being pretty stoked at being Penrith earlier in the year.

I don't know, of all the Tigers and world things to worry about, this one doesn't rate very highly to me. I'm sure the club will call him in and give him a clip over the ears.

Of course there is, but you don't wear a rivals jersey when you're contracted to another club.

but I still won't get offended - he is a kid and who hasn't done anything wrong here? ok he did it and it is wrong but all that is needed to be done is for him to be spoken to by the club... don't get angry over it... not worth your time... the club should talk to him and that's it and I sure he will remember this.

That's where we disagree. I think he's dogged us with that, even worse than Tamou.

we agree to disagree then avo - have a good afternoon... like I said "not worth your time" to stress about it

No, it is a slap in the face to a fanbase that hasn't had their team in finals football for 10 years, a fanbase that hurts watching another finals series without their team. Show a bit of common sense and don't rub their faces in it.

Well, there is 'our' captain...

Find me another club where the 'captain' so proudly celebrates the team who did not want him / coach who let him go winning.

It just kind of shows that a few of these blokes came to us solely, 100%, for money and extra years on contracts / their paths were blocked elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with that, but it also means you often sign players whose hearts are not in it at all with the new team (Tamou, Mybe, Packer).

The one reprieve I will give him( Laurie) is that there has been very little opportunity for him to feel.any level of connection to our fan base due to COVID. However in the day and age of everything being filmed should never be seen in an opposing teams jersey and worse showing it off. Disapppinting but not surprised by any thing these days.

I dont think any or many of us would be under the illusion that Tamou, Laurie or anyone else came to us for anything other than $$$ or extra years, and that is what it is. Its another thing to publicly flaunt it and rub fans noses in it.

Thought something bad had actually happened lol...it’s his first year out of his junior club. You think Robbie or benjis heart didnt lie worth the tigers? Didn’t stop them from giving it there all At other clubs. Get a grip

Were they getting out with Tigers fans celebrating our win, wearing our jersey while playing for another club?

That is such a bad look. Dane seems a good kid but what the hell is he thinking?

I'd say he wasn't thinking at all. Poor form by him.

We never won the gf or even made finals since they’ve both been out of our club...I’m sorry but some people here are out of touch with reality

I dont think anyone begrudges him having his heart at the pamfers and celebrating them winning, but many of us think the way he did it is pretty disrespectful and unprofessional.

For all the "just a kid" rhetoric, the "kid" has his hand out for hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. If he wants to be a "Kid" and play with his mates, go back up the coast and play in the park.

IMO the Tamou social media stuff is way worse than Laurie.

Laurie is an inexperienced kid. Tamou a seasoned vet, paid SPECIFICALLY to be a leader...

Tamou could have easily posted ‘well done Penrith, proud of all of the young players. Tigers, let’s work hard and aim for this’

Rather than pages of Cleary is a great coach, wow ‘we’ won, yeah! Wow!

For a club captain, really poor form from Tamou.

He has a few insta stories from that night driving around in that car with his mates (including the alleged woman beater). He isnt wearing that jersey which means he took it with him to put on specifically. At some stage of the night he made the decision to grab that jersey, take it with him to put it on at the right time.

Swapping jerseys after a game with a current club teammate is a little bit different...

Yeah I agree, not even sure why I posted it to be honest.
