Dale Finucane

The Lurker is unfortunately probably just trying to find something, anything to write about which might get some clicks. What he says seems to go against many other statements, and this guy has a worse hit rate than the Mole, much worse.

Finucane as a player who goes unnoticed is exactly what we need. Enough of the flashy but overrated players like Gavet. Someone who simply does his job, consistently for his team without getting all the plaudits is perfect for us. Apparently that's what Blair was supposed to do, but he didn't.

Finucane alone could combine the output of both Blair and Thompson into one player!d

I think Finucane is the prototype for the players we should be looking at, 50 odd games and looking to force his way into a starting lineup. You can do alot worse than to look at the top 4-5 clubs and pick up a few guys looking for more game time.

Very good point, You target players who are good enough but being held back in their present system by the talent they have to compete against. The Dogs have been producing quality forwards for yonks, no better place to search for talented experience forwards looking for a gig elsewhere

Do you mean Tapau??? I would have thought he was close to our best forward last year. I also think that Marty plays with such intensity, that he will always hit the odd flat spot.

Always liked Dale. Big and hits hard. Would be a good replacement for Blair with a better workrate.
Also very good in defence.

I'm not a racist but islanders do not have the stamina the anglo saxon guys have, they have the strength and power but normally only 20 minute players.
That's why I think Finaucane would be a good fit for the tigers.

Finucane would be a great buy. Covers all areas in the forwards, he is tough and does all the work that you want from a forward.
He might not be a great edge runner but he carries well and defends great. He would excel in our team and become an 70-80min backrower that we need.
In my opinion, he is better than all other back-rowers we have at the club currently.

Story through zerotackle that we've moved in as the front runners for his signature on a 3 year deal. A pretty basic article with no direct quotes or solid inside info (can't post entire article from iPhone), but this smoke is gaining a bit of fire.

Media obviously got wind of the rumour, have to wait and see what happens.
