You mean the one Brooks was 3 points from receiving it last year...

As I pointed out Moses was 3rd also this year, I stand by my comments, positional awards are a joke.
Marsters got nominated, so did Benji, yet Sivo the leading try scorer didn't, neither did Brooks, who I think played as good as he did last year when he won, that is my point, and Mitchell who played 2 good games since rd8 won.

My take away from the night beside the players we have lost is the award night show us exactly where we sit.

Out top Dally M scorers were

Matterson - hates us and wants out
Brooks - half our own fans dont even like him
Benji - a veteran
Thompson - no certainty to make the squad

Says it all. we lack young and exciting players and have a middle of the road roster.

I think that is a pretty negative view. I think it is more that we don’t have the superstar that attracts the votes. When we win (and get votes) it is normally a team effort and the votes get shared around.

I dont care about getting votes. I care very little for the awards. However the awards show exactly what you said. We have no superstars and our best players are not that great either.

We have a solid squad.

Michelle Moses :skull_and_crossbones: should have received a maximum of 13 points, being 1 behind Our Luke Brooks :v: .

I don't recall Moses making 1 effective 1st man in tackle, in the televised games I watched.

How can Moses be 1/2 back of the year when he only plays 1/2 a game, as he is hidden out of the way in defence.

And who could forget how he was made to look so utterly moronicly stupid :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: in the game in which they were thumped.

Yawn

My point is that it’s easier said than done to assemble a gun side. If it was, every team in the comp would have one. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try every way under the sun to try to achieve it, but the fact we are among a majority of teams who can’t shows it takes more than a click of a finger.

Have a good look at the top 5's Geo posted. Only about 3 teams have less stars then we have.

Dont just disagree with someone for the sake of it. His list proves everything i am saying.

Our main guy is Luke Brooks, thats it!

That’s your opinion, it’s not fact. We’re middle of the road. Where we finished on the ladder in 2019 supports that view.

Just shows what a joke these awards are when Cameron Smith gets 32 points - he wasn't anywhere near the second best player in the NRL. Great footballer but this season was no where near one of his best.

You said that there are only 3 teams who have less stars than us in your opinion. That’s implying we are below being a middle of the road team. Also, don’t take every disagreement you have with someone as if they are attacking you personally. It’s not just me, I see you do it with others too. It makes it look like you think your opinion is above being questioned. I had what I believed to be a fair argument, and I’d have argued it, regardless of who posted what you did.
