There may be issues bud, I don't know it's mental health - Neither do you....
He certainly made no mention of them in his multiple articles rubbishing the club and staff on the way out?
Nor was there any mention of any such issues in the media the way they are for every player struggling?
You'd think they'd have been discussed when immediately applying for a new job?
If that's all it was, He'd still be at the club and we'd have stood by him - And been legally obligated too....

On the other side of the coin,
You don't play as many games as he has, score as many trys as he has ALL AT ONE CLUB
and then get moved on as unceremoniously as he was without any reason...
I partly disagree somewhat with your logic, that anyone who rubbishes the club’s performance can‘t possibly be suffering from mental illness.

Really ? I heard that was also the reason Bellamy moved Olam on !
All here say of course but there must be underlying reasons.

Young and Dumb isn't an underlying issue....

I would concur.....
Except I never heard him take responsibility for those performances.

Nofo I feel sorry for he should have played origin had the talent just not the self discipline young guy lots of money just went off the rails no one pulled him into line

One club man ,scorer of 100 tries ,Dally M winger of the year ,Tigers player of the year ,
He got sacked and gave the club the ammunition to save $700 k .By just turning up to training and working out with the rest we would have had to pay him $1mill instead of the $300k . For a difference of $700 k any logical.person in their right mind would turn up to training and do what ever . Maybe the whole thing was such that he wasn't in his right mind
My guess ( and its only a guess ) is that going from the heights of 2020 to the deepest of pits has led to deep dark depression .
Not our problem anymore but don't feel like putting the boot in
Of course some on this forum are privy to every thought that crosses his mind and have evidence that they read on social media !

He got sacked, and blamed the club and the coaches....
Now it seems he's been sacked again.
Sports people are judged on their performances, or non-performances.

Turn it into whatever you like, And guess as much as you want....
He was a 'professional' athlete and was paid as such, and stands to reason would be scrutinised as such.
As someone who's watched him play since he was 16, I'll always have somewhat of an interest in where he ends up, As I do with all our players, Despite their impact on the club and whereabouts....
Believe it or not, I'm a football fan.... I also discuss other players at other clubs that have nothing to do with WT's....
I've seen plenty of Players struggles being discussed here at length, form or otherwise, that have had nothing to do with WT's ever....

I'd be interested to see the reaction from a few here if he were leading try scorer, and in the running for the man of Steel.... I can say with certainty we'd be reading about it.

Your hunch is right. Pretty deplorable how fans have
turned on him and stuck the boot in, me included.
(At times) but it was all in jest. We've suffered a lot
as a club over the past decade but it's just a game.
he's got some demons he has 2 exercise, we all do.
Campbelltown junior, Maggie, top try scorer, he deserves
a bit of respect. I'm positive he'll dig himself out
of the hole he's in. Rugby league isn't that important

Did anyone else see/hear that Nofa was at Leichhardt for the game yesterday?

The guy is totally shameless!

Happy for Rowdy to bring him into the alumni group in time - but he left under anything but ideal circumstances and then put the boot into the club with his self-serving post exit interviews + his move to the UK has been an abject failure!

I assume he was a guest of Brydens - again proving the sooner they piss off the better!

What are you talking about mate ? From what I can tell , he’s had/has real mental health issues , and the shift across the ditch has not helped things . If he’s back here , it means his career is over , or he’s been given time away to sort his shit out .
Sure he said some stupid shit , but if the club is fair dinkum about looking after thier players , both current and historical , despite his shenanigans, this is when you need to turn up and help the guy.
They had to get him away from the playing group because of his toxicity . But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on the guy . Even if he’s been acting the fool lately .

He was definitely at the game, he walked straight into me.

Funny these ‘issues’ have only ever been assumed here because of the way he’s carried himself….
He certainly made no mention of them on his reason for leaving.

Sometimes Stupid people do and say stupid things
- doesn’t always need to be a reason…

More needs to be done regarding player welfare post retirement. I was reading an article about John Sutton yesterday, he struggled a lot and experienced bad depression in the years following his retirement. He definitely would not be alone. When your identity is an NRL player it's hard to transition to the next phase of your life.
