Christ some people are unbelievable. 31 is not over the hill for an NRL player unless their body is breaking down. I swear this site is full of 12 year olds sometimes. It’s a good deal.

Morris twins say hi. Both very good outside backs still and they are like 35 lol

Both previous Representative players too
Morris twins have done plenty in career more than David has and both are in a very good side

That is true, however the Morris twins have always played in stacked sides whereas David hasn’t

really happy @weststigerman especially the 4 year deal very exciting....
it is lovely we can resign nofo to a nice long 4 year contract his defence has always been rock solid.

Give it a rest. He's been offered a fair deal and that's all that matters.

Some people just hate Nofo, I don’t get it either

I don't hate Nofo or any player. I am just of the opinion it's not a good deal. I hope i'm wrong and look like a moron because I want him to play well.

I honestly don't mind the deal nofo a got, he is a fan favourite and would be great doing media with a little coaching. I just hope the club put in a couple of conditions such as;
a) stay on your winger,
b) call your team mates when the opposition have an overlap
c) don't come in, stay on your wing.
d) practice jumping to catch kicks
e) practice tackling
f) don't go always go for the intercept when we number up with attackers.
g) scoring 17 and letting in 22 on your wing, isn't a plus for the club,

Just some thoughts, prove me wrong Dave and have a great 2021.

With it being 4 years, I’m assuming the dollars can’t be too much. Surely hartigan wouldn’t sign him for big money and four years, he seems smarter than that, unless he was pushed by Lee or some other higher up to do it.

Hartigan did not sign him the chairman did !the good old days are back .

You mean the guy with the long hair.

for a half it is not old for a winger maybe it is. Look at penrith moving mansour in to bring in young Staines

Well if we had Staines i'd be telling one of our wingers to move on too. Comparing Mansour and Nofo is silly as one wanted to start a new deal at 30 while the other will be finishing his at 30 with a further one year option **in the clubs favour**. It's good business.

The Morris twins have off the charts "footy IQ". They know how to play, enormous experience, know all the short cuts, and both have always had top class D.

Nofa....does not have any of those things.

His footy IQ is terrible and he basically relies on athleticism. It is not fair to compare them.

Except I wasn’t comparing them... I just used them as an example of outside backs that have still got it well into their 30s

I guess we need to wait on the official club announcement before we people start jumping up and down.

Is it a 4yr extension of his deal set to expire end of 2021?
Are there any club/player options?
$$$$?

It's still early to jump up and down either way. I
To me, it has been a good few days with Mansour not coming and Noffa staying.

It feels like we are turning the club around. 3 years ago we would have lost Noffa and been bullied into taking Mansour to get Laurie early.

Club is showing patience at the moment and building the foundations. We are headed in the right direction. Next step is finals appearance to shut the media up and entice higher profile recruits.

DONE DEAL......

Cue those who claim he bent the club over.....

and finally silence to those who claim he had already signed elsewhere......WRONG AGAIN

Only tigers fans could complain about signing a guy who visibly shows his passion for the club and breaks his backside every week for us , lol

Some leaks I have heard are 450k a year with the 4th year a club option

You can't understand that there would be some reservations around the length of the contract? Look at the recent past, how have these big contracts worked out for the club.

Add to that, look at Nofa's form. One good season. One. The club is not locking in a time proven, consistent player. They are locking in a bloke with one good season.

Passion is great, finals is better. I support Wests Tigers. Every decision the club makes has to be with the soul purpose of getting better.

Anyways, its done now. Let's hope Nofa repays the faith and expands on last season.

He may have only had one great season, but he has had plenty of statistically good seasons. The only difference between 2020 and previous ones is he cleaned up a few defensive errors. His yardage is second to none in our team.

At the start of the thread I said we could do without him if he wanted big $. Sounds like he is signing a reasonable deal in our favour, so I'm beyond happy to keep him. Now that Benji is gone, he will now become the poster boy for Wests Tigers.

Official release says "until the end of the 2025 season"...

So, that is actually a four year extension...this year plus four.

Five more years of Nofa....

Some will celebrate...

If he does not fix his D....this will be a disastrous signing. Sorry to be negative, but all the analytics have him ranked around the 10th best winger in the comp / bottom few for D.

You don't give a 27 yo winger ranked that low 4 (5!?!) years...not if you want to win. Even with all their success, the Storm never once offered a winger that type of deal for a reason.

The new, four-year deal will see the 27-year-old remain in Wests Tigers colours until at least the end of the 2025 NRL season.

So, it is this year AND four more...

Sigh.

Will he kiss his tigers emblem when he scores again

What offends people so much about this?

Same with Beau Ryan...

I just don't get it. Two players who did and do put everything out there for our club, and get disrespected for it because they show that passion that, strangely, is viewed negatively.

I actually like the fact that he kissed the emblem
It shows his passion for the club
It wasn't ment to be disrespectful at all
It was a comment taken the wrong way
Hopefully he does it again to show his absolute passion for our club and brand
Hopefully a few others follow suit
