David Nofoaluma #164

Good in theory.

However, what club would actually want Nofo?
Think Storm took him out of desperation - needed a winger and knew he was available.
Gave him back as soon as they could.

Can't see the Dogs swapping JAC for a dud.

He did community service with us 4 a minute
at Croydon Salvos. Good guy, hard worker

Therein lies the key point. If you are going to claim how worthless he is, you have to accept the fact he cannot be offloaded. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
What a conundrum!!

But not the paradox you try to make it out to be!

While you gloat over the results of the corrupt nepotism of our former Chairman and his co-dependent CEO who you allegedly wanted to see go...

Wests Tigers are stuck with an utter piece of excrement for $500K for 2 more years - and his price tag will no longer be his open passage into the NRL playing squad!

But all good with you - because you have zero interest in what is best for the Wests Tigers franchise!!

Despite your protestations about having an undeserved rep and supposed personal epipahny - you are still and will always be the epitome of an arrogant contrarian troll!!!

Despite Noffs dummy spits he's tuff won't shirk the tough meters and knows his way to the try line.

We saw against Canberra when we had a half decent side he was pretty good and knows what needs to be done.

Probably deserves sanctions but me thinking he might go very well.....in a better side going forwards.
The challenge is him dragging down the rest of the team with his attitude

And you are the definition of an unserious poster, not even worthy of getting offended over or even acknowledgment from this point forward

NRL Confidential: David Nofoaluma’s story from being homeless and feeling worthless to NRL star.

TIGERS star David Nofoaluma reveals the story of when he was just 17 he’d hit rock bottom.

With nowhere to go and nothing more than the clothes on his back, the flyer went from feeling worthless to an NRL star within two years.

Check out the social side of the game in NRL Confidential.

From being homeless to NRL star

Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma has opened up about his life and how he went from rock bottom to making his NRL debut within 24 months.

Prior to making his NRL debut, Nofoaluma was homeless.

Having never met his father and grown up with his grandparents’, the winger had split with his girlfriend who he was living with and got on a bus with nothing more than some change in his pocket and the clothes on his back.

That’s when he remembered an offer from a family friend.

“I was on a bus and I remember (family friends) saying ‘whenever you have it tough, we’re here anytime you need us’ and I was on the bus and the bus happened to go past their place,” Nofoalum told the Locker Room podcast.

“When the trains aren’t working you have to take a bus. I got on the bus and it went past their place and I still remember the day.

“I got off the bus and knocked on the door and (my family friends) were happy to see me.

“From then I lived with them. I had nothing on me. I was probably at rock-bottom. I was at the bottom and there was nothing going on in my mind. (I thought) I’m worth nothing.

“I was probably 17 years old.

“I left school earlier. I’d just finished High School.”

Fast forward two years and Nofoaluma made his debut.

The flyer debuted back in 2013 after Matt Utai failed a fitness test. He was in his last year of NYC and finished the year in the top grade.

Now he has over 50 NRL games to his name but he’s stayed humble.

“It’s always something I keep in mind,” he said of his journey. “That’s why I’m pretty rapped to be where I am.”

Found this article by accident. Interesting read.

Garbage read - he is pretending to have experienced "homelessness" when his own story shows he was just a young idiot who ran away from his home with his Grandparents when he broke up with his girl...

Then on a bus he called "family friends" who the bus happened to be passing by and they gave him a roof over his head...

Homeless my arse!!

NOT a single night on the street!!!

The toxic scumbag has zero understanding or respect for people who genuinely experience homelessness!

Just demonstrates what an ignorant and self-entitled BS artist this bloke is!

The metres are especially tough running sideline to sideline.

I don’t believe he had that nor even family to call? Is that not what the article says… contrarian troll?
Learn to read - his grandparents didn't kick him out...

He ran away for one afternoon.

Benji had it much tougher than Nofa and has NEVER played the homeless card despite not being raised by his biological mum or ever knowing his father...

To be honest I always thought Nofa was a hard worker, a tough runner and a good finisher.

I don’t know enough about the intricacies of goal-line defending I know he’s been paired with some shocking centres over the years.
People also forget that the team has been awful for a long time and that really plays on your head after a while.

I think he’s been a good performer for the club and don’t understand the haters. Having said that, his height lets him down on some cross field kicks, and for that reason I think we can do better.

Not saying he’s a world beater, but I think he’s a pretty damn good replacement winger if that’s what he ends up being.

He doesn't run it hard anymore.
