DCE turns down huge Manly deal

His manager is just trying to squeeze a bit more out of Manly.
When he does Pop My Cherry should grab it in a hurry.
If he was unlucky enough to be seriously injured he'd be worth nothing.
Could even turn out to be a flash in the pan (wouldn't be the first next big thing to burn out).
Take the money son! :righton:

His manager would be sacked if i were DCE. What manager dosent get a representitve clause written in .
Now he is just trying to cash in .Manly are the smart operators in this case .Make him sit out his contract.

It's been tried before but maybe it's time to try Farah at half again, move him out of his current position in the defensive line to lessen the amount of defence he has to do, free up some of his energy allowing him to concentrate more on a halfback directing role and also give him more time to focus on his kicking game. In that way, look to get a new hooker if Farah works out.

Your kidding ,it has been done to death and failed misserably.Farah is a low percentage player , when it works it looks great , when it fails , well we all know the concequences.

Agree with you about his manager- be interesting to see what Manly have put on the table now though.
He's shown a lot of talent , now it remains to be seen if he can continue to do so.
You would have to be prepared to pay big $$$$ for a promising , not proven , performer.

One swallow don't make a summer Yoss - there are plenty of guys who have played in premiership winning teams only to see their careers not exactly hit the dizzy heights.

It will force Manly into a re-negotiation of his final years contract because they want to keep him happy and therefore at the club beyond next season

There are also plenty of great players who have never won one. I'm sure Thurston would like one. Yes i know he won one at the Bulldogs, but he was a replacement in that game and only played a couple games that year

Blame his manager for the lack of money in his contract, you cant blame Manly for this its got to be the mister 7% fault for not having a representing clause written in.

True but I think he showed enough last year and during this that he is a little bit above the potential category. James Tedesco has potential, DCE is a proven big game winner.

With all the talk about Farah getting in the way of our half back then give him a go again it wasn't done to death last time, besides that was a few years ago could be different now.

So it makes him 100% perfect based on his statistics because he has been around for only one season won a gf and australian jumper….. he is brilliant but my opinion still has alot to prove...a great example, Daniel Mortimer!!

Daniel Mortimer never won a premiership. He also only played half the season. He came into the Parra side when they were riding a massive wave and were on a roll. Anyone would have looked good coming into that side. Comparing DCE to Mortimer is like comparing apples and oranges

What I'd love is for with all this talk about DCE is for Souths to get all excited and offer him a $1M and drop off Cronk and we snatch him up and Souths end up with zip, preferably after Souths letting a couple of big names go to free up cap space.

Even though I'd love him in a tigers jersey I don't think we need a superstar no. 7 in our team. With benji and Robbie running the show I think luke Walsh would be a good fit for us. Decent organiser with a good kicking game, I think that's all we need.

_**I agree, we don't need a creator, we need a kicker at half**_. Cooper Cronk is the best around, and Luke Walsh would be good. DCE is just flavour of the week around here because he scored a try against us last Friday. If our defence had been awake we would have cut him down on halfway.

Lets be honest DCE & Cronk are probably out of our reach and will probably stay where they are. Believe it or not I believe Mitchell Pearce would be a perfect fit at the Tigers and I think he would get a new lease on life here with more creative players around him.

Walsh would suit the Tigers to a tee. Great boot, good passing game, size to take the line on and doesn't need a second rower holding his hand in defence.

He's not a superstar, but he is far better than average and would terrific in our colours. He's only 24 and would be worth about $250-300K a year.

Cronk isn't going anywhere i don't think, and i doubt DCE will either. Always nice to dream though
