Remember this guy ??. He is quitting SL for family reasons and heading back to Oz…. Handy 2nd tier contract ??. He is still young

Collis at his best was a decent player. Much like Lawrence injuries too their toll. Comparing him to reick and bajouri is ridiculous

It would be a dead heat between him and Bronson Harrison for the biggest failure to live up to expectations that the club has produced.
 
He started as a decent player but unfortunately that didnt last and when at the sharks he was poor.No thanks
 
ah, collis along with daine laurie would have to be the two players i had such high hopes for that dissolved into oblivion. i remember a time collis was touted as close to origin… tumbleweeds....

as for signing him again? may as well re-sign jason moodie again....
 
I remember in 06 when he got a regular starting spot he had a game where he carved up GI. He never really kicked on and was always a little one dimensional. How does he go in the SL? If he's an average run of the mill centre there then I can't see him doing much damage over here again.
 
I remember his duels with gasnier they'd score 3 or 4 tries each on each other. Wonder why he didn't kick on with us. It's not like we had great centres anyway.. apart from Lawrence in his day.
 
It was injuries that held him back. He's been a regular started for Wakefield when fit and has scored quite a few tries. Probably a little above average over there. I don't think we actually need him for depth even. Lulia isn't even playing in the centres in NSW cup at the moment. I could see Parramatta signing him on second tier.

greater minds than mine will make decisions on who the club purchases.

both these guys had good moments but went further downhill when they went to cronulla.

geez id love the tigers to poach bird or holmes just to yank cronulla's chain.

We had Ayshford who in 09 and 10 was a gun, then fell off the map after that.
 
I remember back at the time this guy was talked up as the next Gasnier by some of our supporters who watched him in the lower grades.

Pity he didn't become the player i had hoped .

I remember that game at leichhardt. There was a lot of hype about inglis and collis absolutely toweled him. Set Fitzy up for 3 tries and scored 1 himself. I was convinced we had a future nsw center that day.

I think it was a combination of a few things. He got injuries at bad times, other guys got opportunities and came into winning teams so probably looked better then they were. He also played right center and had john Morris serving him ball zero quality ball whilst Lawrence had benji putting it on a platter for him.

From what I got told he had offers from both storm and sharks but went to cronulla as they had signed Trent Barrett and told him they would be on the right together. Then Barrett played like 5 games all year and retired, cronulla were a basketcase and he suffered.

I haven't seen or heard much about him in England but if he came back on a nsw cup contract it couldnt hurt.

He had some talent back in his prime and certainly had good ball skills with a nice flick pass ala Matt Gidley. Second tier contract only if he's looking for a run back here.
