Okay, everyone is angry. I am trying to stay calm and hopefully anyone who replies to this will also.

Today was a 'guage' as to where we are at…..........the club itself was internally billing it that way this week. 5 and 3 with the bye next week = good start. 4 and 4 = same as previous years, struggling at 50%.

To lose = massive loss.

To have reality screamed at us = even worse.

Reality = Benji and Robbie still (after 4 years) don't know how to lead a team home when in front in close games. Horrible, horrible footy IQ from both today. With all that ball and an opposition out on it's feet, 'any' semi good halves combo would have won that game. Benji running across field and throwing no look, flat passes and kicks on the 3rd tackle...just amazing. Robbie simply isn't a first grade half back.

Reality = Sheens simply hasn't learnt from the past few years. The team is **still** clueless in tight games and **still** losing all momentum when the other teams forwards and bench start to become factors. Picking a non playing winger on the bench..........for seasons on end now.........it really is beyond belief. If this was a rookie coach making these mistakes, he'd be butchered in the media. It's just been too long to be true.

Reality = we simply haven't moved forward. This season is no different (at this point) to the past three.

Sad, but true fellas. There's no point getting angry. The club doesn't have the $$$ to sack Sheensy and he's simply not going to walk. With The Storm effectively out and some teams very weak.........we'll probably sqeeze in to eigth simply as the comp is so weak.........and he'll be here for 2011 also. I don't know what the answer is at this point.

Nothing has changed and it's doubtful it will until there's a clean out.

we need to pick players in there correct positions, and not only use half a bench, surley a coach who has coached 600 first grade games knows this

Id rather watch us be as boring as the Dragons but win most games than play the way we do and lose.

100 % correct.

Benji goes from not being involved enough to trying too hard. He needs to get involved, run the team, run the ball more and come up with the solid options at crucial times. He also has to go up the middle sometimes. He was trying to get out wide all game and there wasn't the space out there.

Robbie's best play was when he got into dummy half on the 5th and passed to Marshall - it was a nothing play but he took the right option. That is where he needs to be. His kicking game out wide is terrible and he overuses it.

They are both in real bad form and we need them in their right positions and playing well.

Apart from that our forwards went well. Our outside backs were solid and Ryan needs some work on taking bombs.

We are actually more dangerous from broken field play 50 yards out than from a set that starts inside the opp quarter. That basically says "hey, great ad lib footy team…......terribly coached team".

I really hate to get on the "blame Sheens" bandwagon, but it's been 3 seasons of this exact same stuff............i mean, **exact same. Nothing has changed. It's just incredible at this stage.\

Teams are working Tim's game plans out too easily..........today the roosters stacked their defense on the Lawrence + Tuqiri side..............and left the Ayshford + Fitzy side free. Smith KNEW they wouldn't hurt him.\

That forced us to try and go down there more as Lawrence + Tuqiri had nowhere to move.........result = Ayshford and Fitz looking clueless in attack, going over sidelines, dropping balls.**

Some reasonable and sensible observations. We are now in our fifth straight season of inconsistent and unfathomable performances. Some shortcomings are quite evident, in particular the lack of metres made by our forwards and the softness of our midfield defence. Of equal concern is the genuine lack of development in Marshall and Farah. Farah should be the #1 hooker in the game, not arm wrestling for a SOO position with a hamster like Ennis. Marshall is still to gain consistency, indeed cannot be relied upon to to make mostly correct decisions under pressure. Our purchasing policy has been a reactionary dog's breakfast and we've not attracted any key personnel since the premiership.

I give you Mr Bennett and Mr Moore, successful coaches who frankly, have very little material to work with, yet understand that RL is really a very simple game of creating pressure through field position. What they would give to have a little of our attacking talent. I'm way past the point of being angry, it just frustrates me that there is a premiership there for the taking and we are destined not to figure

if consistently winning means, being in top 4 all season and sacrificing some of the team's razzle & dazzle, then i vote for it.
once you have a lead that cannot be run down, then play razzle dazzle.
secure the win first.

It's not that simple wesTAHger….............we don't simply "beat ourselves"

Smart coaches against us are aware that we are an ad lib team and they adjust...........they are happy to sacrifice defense on one side of the field (Aysh-Fitz)in order to stack the other side. Teams are preparing for us as we throw the same 'game plan' at every team each week. Other teams even know basically **exactly** how and when our bench will be used. They know that allowing Benji and Robbie to do whatever they want against a SET defense = they are clueless.

Robbie and Benji are lethal against busted lines............so other teams are conceeding their own attack, hanging in there defensively, getting into an 'arm wrestle' and then putting us away in the last 15 mins. Sheens biggest fault IMO is that he simply never.............never...........reacts or coaches to what's going on out there. He just rolls out the same stuff.

would be nice to have an organising half back. we need a lot more talk out there and someone who can kick into space. repeat sets are always nice if it doesn't look like you will score!

Benji with a decent half back = world class. He's a top 5 player in the game.

Benji without one….where he has to 'organise' stuff himself....= a player who has no idea. Bad decision after bad decision.

Spot on…just need to look at our results when Moltzen is at 7\. Hopefully Lui will make a big difference when he is back after the bye. I think it is time to move Lote to 1\. It wasn't that bad ...sure we didnt win, but 9 times out of 10 we would have won that game...we were playing with a 3rd choice 7, makeshift 1&5, makeshift 9\. Marshall playing a different role. Roosters lost a lot of ball because we put a lot of defensive pressure on. Our defense has improved, we just need to get our kicking game right and change our mentality a bit (not try and score of every play).
