Delouise Hoeter released?

One minute we're whinging cause we suck mega…. Then we get rid of average players and we still whinge

We could go through an entire season undefeated and no tries scored against us and most on here would STILL find something to whinge about. Whinging on these forums is an expected trait for most.

Nothing wrong with the timing, if he's now well down the pecking order based on pre season why not give him the heads up as early as possible so he and his agent have the maximum amount of time to consider their options. Leaving it til late January-March would be far worse!!

Isn't it the reason we come on here…..

I don't have a problem with the timing as a lot of deck chairs are being moved amongst all teams at the moment. Maybe we are chatting to someone from another club or maybe as stated others have surged past him. Either way, we have two teams to fill and he obviously isn't considered to be useful in either. Will Malone be following, as Heleta and Seve are much stronger prospects?

I think Nathan Milone is just as good as the two guys you've mentioned. He unfortunately suffered that shocking injury in 2014 and then made a comeback in State Cup after about 6 rounds last year so his pre-season wasn't one without problems. Then he was called in to play a couple of NRL games after only 5 or 6 games in State Cup, this due to a couple of injuries to outside backs. 2015 for Nathan was really all about getting strong and getting confidence. This year with a full pre-season under his belt I would expect he will be stronger and much more confident. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets another crack at NRL and goes well.

There is no doubt in my mind he will get another crack at first grade. He is in the new boys club. But I wish him all the best though. Seems like a good kid.

Hi Mrs Milone,

Hope you enjoy your time on here!

Unfortunately Nathan isn't as talented as either Seve or Heleta, or a number of our other young backs. He's never stood out whatsoever in NYC, and has been poor in NSW Cup and the NRL (but apparently went ok in sg ball - i can't comment on that though). While he might be a good bloke, that isn't enough to play first grade.

He simply hasn't displayed the skills in attack or defence, nor the physical attributes to indicate he can make the step up. I wish him well as he tries to carve out a career in a highly competitive environment but from the many lower grade games i've seen he's a long way down the pecking order.

Hoeter was higher up the pecking order than him and he's decide to leave to get more opportunities/been pushed. He wasn't a local boy though so perhaps wasn't as committed to the club as Nathan is.

I agree with you BB

but I am 99% certain we will see him in first grade in 2016 (Milone that is).

The thing with Milone is that he never got any better, when he arrived in NYC, he had big expectations, but didnt improve at all. My mind plays tricks, but pretty sure he was an Aussie Schoolboy.
Ive said a number of times I dont think he is good enough (which raised the ire of Irving) and I stand by that.
The reports are that he has a terrific attitude and work ethic, that goes a long way, and when things get close, more often then not, that sort of player gets the nod, he may well get another opportunity.

IMO Seve is going down the same track, he is not kicking on like you'd hope, I saw him as a potential first grader and a superior player to Sione Matau'tia, it is not looking that way, hoping last year was an aberration after missing the previous season. Time will tell.

I agree with all you later guys.

If Milone ever makes it as a regular first-grader, I will be very shocked. I am sure he is a good bloke but what I've seen of him, he is mediocre at best. Not a completely crap footballer, but almost no strong points to speak of. He's not particularly quick or evasive, his defence is at best passable, he is no threat with the football at all. You have to have some standout ability to make it.

I thought his defence was fairly solid, but lacked pace & lateral movement which is not a good thing for an outside back.

Milone didn't show much, but went okay for having only played half a dozen or so games in a season and a half. I would rather give a whole hearted toiler a shot than a lazy one blessed with skill

Balmain Boy has it in a nutshell. His defence was poor in NSW Cup. But he'll always be able to say he played NRL football for the Tigers. Good luck to him but if he's playing NRL for us in 2016 we have problems.

Wait, someone left the Tigers and didn't go on to bag them out?
First time for everything I guess…

Good to hear the young fellow cleared up his leaving on good terms and appreciated the opportunity he was given.

Unlikely 99% of the Forum members including myself, Delouise can say he played NRL. I wish I could day the same thing but body shape and lack of skills put an end to that dream
