Matt Woods>>>>Parra

Spewing if true, he is still under contract for 2016 so is there any reason behind releasing him?

Can't see why we would release him when he's a local junior, been earmarked for big things, and been performing well in the nyc.

I think Dallas Graham is one of those players who improves incrementally each year and will again step up to become and an important high workrate prop for the squad. From all reports, he has a very good attitude and work ethic which I like.

Dallas Graham for mine is the next best after Woods, Taupau and Ava. We're definitely going to struggle if props go down next season.

Few forwards I would be targetting are

Kyle O'Donell
Tinirau Arona
Liam Knight
Adam Docker
Damian Sironen

Lot of teams are struggling to find props. WT, Parramatta, Cronulla and Newcastle all appear one or two props short for 2016.

I think the lack of two quality props at the Sharks is the reason why they can not win the premiership in 2016\. Great backline and backrow however, besides Fifita they have nothing. Heighington, Prior and Tagastee (?) certainly do not put the fear into opposition sides. Gallen is likely to move to prop.

We really need an enforcer like JWH but they are hard to find.

Remember we will lose Woods during the State of Origin period so maybe Dallas Graham may get his shot at NRL.

Is Luke page that maniac who started the year at Canberra but finished at the Dragons?

If so I'm not sure why he hasn't secured an NRL spot. Must have some deficiencies, but from what I've seen would be worth a small deal as back up

Docker is good.
Liam Knight could be good… defo would be stoked to sign him.

The others however...... meh.

What's the deal with noodles for brains Lodge?
Hearing conflicting reports - he's gone - he's staying?

It would appear Lodge is gone - announced at the grand final lunch. But then so was Buchanan who's apparently re-signed today (according to his own tweet announcing his pleasure in re-signing for one more season with us).

Still re-signing an off contract young toiler prop is an easier call than sacking an imbecile with huge potential.

Buchanan wasn't too bad this year, he's still only very young so I would like to think he has further improvement in him.

Yep that right. Age is certainly on his side as a front rower.

Bryce Gibbs took a few years when he was young to establish himself. Bryce was never a great go forward man but his defence as a front rower was as good as any, it's possible Buchanan could go down the same path in a year or two. Considering the interchange dropping, if Jack can defend the way Bryce did, play big minutes and use his clever footwork more in attack he may just make it.

I think it's a reasonable signing.

What you have to like is going by his stuff on social media he seems really happy to get the contract and be staying at the club. I know there was probably very little in the way of offers floating around for him, but still it is good to see a player openly show he is keen and willing to work hard.

He just might surprise us in 2016

I've gotta soft spot for big Jack. He's just an honest toiler. Every club needs a few of these guys to 'fill in' when necessary. Doesn't let anybody down when he plays. Good re-signing. I hope the next one will be Halatau.

I'm confused, if Buchanan was announced as leaving at the GF luncheon and now is not, who else might not actually be going? There was some half a dozen names on the list.
