Design our 2014 Home Jersey

Lots of good designs, better than anything I could come up with.

I would be keen though to have something absolutely unique. By that I mean no trace of Western Suburbs or Balmain Tigers previous designs. Do away with the V across the chest and go with something absolutely opposite to those things.

Bring them back for the heritage rounds of course, but I think it is more than time to go with something that is the future.

And I mean that with absolute respect to both past clubs.

Not bad, might want to get the bingo sponsorship right on the back (they are reversed - the "go" should be on the left sleeve not the right).

I really like that Pacey - something a bit different. Would you do a black jersey with orange and white V and orange trim as well?

Couldn't see this here but if it is please delete.

Thoughts? Surely we can come up with something good.

http://www.weststigers.com.au/news-display/Members-to-choose-2014-Jersey/72813

Wests Tigers are embarking on industry leading initiative, in a first for NRL clubs.

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that we are allowing our Members and fans to design our 2014 Home Jersey.

Following the success of the Women in League jersey design competition, which received over 70 entries, the Club has replicated the idea for the 2014 main strip.

Wests Tigers Members and fans have a chance to be involved by submitting their design for our new jersey, with the Club having the current design for the past three seasons.

Anybody can send their design in, with our Members eventually deciding on the finalists. The playing squad, combined with members of a selection committee, will have the final say on the design.

Entries will close on Wednesday May 1 so be quick!

CLICK HERE to download the entry form.

You can enter the competition by sending your entry to <membership@weststigers.com.au>.</membership@weststigers.com.au>

ohh ffs keep the jersey the same stop changing it every freaking year

I think it's time we go a little retro. Something plain and simple, a la Souths, St George, Roosters. They all have very distinct jerseys which increases the brand, we are a bit of a muddled mess

Could not agree more. Its not a crime to have a traditional style jersey for WT. our origins are Balmain & Wests - foundation clubs. Nice clean design please WT.

This. No sidepanels, no squiggly v's, no tiger claw marks, no chevron styled shallow v's, no bra lines. This.

Oh but make the black one the main and the gold the alt. Wear black with white shorts and gold with black shorts.

Black socks with a thick gold band near the top and a thin white band above and below the gold band that are separated by a thin black band.

I agree. A classic design jersey makes a louder statement than a busy, crazy superleague era design.

When I buy/wear a jersey, i want it to be instantly recognisable as whose team I am supporting.
When SuperLeague came along these classic designs were thrown out the window in favour of modern designs, which for me = forgettable designs

At the SCG game my dragons mate said to me the current Wests Tigers main jerseys are nothing designs and will be forgotten soon (and I have to agree.)

The Dragons red v is simple, recognisable, enduring and continues to out sell most other teams jerseys.

The Magpies lost the plot in 1997-1999 when they turned away from their traditional double v design for some modern different length stripes. It doesn't look like a Magpie jersey and funnily enough it didnt sell real well.

Balmain lost the plot in the mid 1990s when they ditched the double v or their stripes design and came up with a new 'modern monstrosity' that had a purple stripe.

Wests Tigers have had many 'modern designs' since their inception but most are now looking extremely dated.

Simple designs never go out of fashion and it is about time the Wests Tigers pick one and stick with it for the long term.

GAZF from league unlimited submitted this design into the comp (we aren't the only ones to notice our jerseys have been meh over the years, this time hopefully we can count on many across rugby league to help us get something decent even if they aren't supporters).

![](http://gazf.info/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/WT-Contest-entry.jpg)

He's added some extra bits in there too like a redesigned logo, which is a discussion best left for another time (although knowing there are logos that are similar to ours around the world doesn't sit too easy on me).

I like the Magpie above the sleeve sponsor, think that works well. Also like the double bands below the sleeve sponsor.

I really think that this hybrid double v should become our future identity, it keeps a classic rugby league design feature and combines elements of the unique magpies and balmain double v's (a common trait that carried into the early jerseys),

The black base and double gold v's looks great.

The black tiger print on black isn't too bad (provided the contrast is minute).

Obviously the collar would be t-short like and personally i'd add a bit more white by making the t-shirt circle collar white and the sleeve bands white too.

Generally this is the way we should go. Solid background colour, double v of another colour, no side panels.

All the jerseys in this thread Look good, whatever they pick just keep it for more than a few weeks. It irritates me that they seem to change jerseys every other week.

It's like some school kid with ADHD is in charge.

I hope they have thrown away that pink thing they wore last year for the ladies in league round. That was just terrible.

One major screw up is that its missing one of our three colours….and dont point to the logo text

Just so wrong on so many counts

Its a Wests & Balmain apology

Sorry - it sucks
