Devastated - What Can We Do From Here Thoughts?

The Tigers get some personnel back next week. If they can roll Penrith, hopefully they can build some confidence and get on a roll again.

More structure in attack is required. We can beat anyone. We need to stop other teams gaining such easy metres as well. They are running straight through us at the moment.

I think we can turn it around but it rests on Sheens and Benji. Benji needs to get into form and start being a top 5 player in the game. Lately Benji has been terrible.

Sheens needs to work out our halves and he needs to do it quick. I don't think Sirro should be at 6.

I'd like to believe there is something to come, but we just look …......crap. So i would say nothing, just accept we peaked and this year we aren't good enough.

Not a lot mate. We have been sub par all season with only 3 proper performances. They'll win a couple and give us a small glimmer but realistically we are not a top 8 side this year.

it's not just structure in attack, it's structure everywhere, no one appears to know what they are doing out there. The no real halfback thing is really hurting as well.

Have a look at the 2nd bench. Ellis, Utai, Farah, Moltzen and losing Tuquiri in the first 20mins doesn't help.
That's about $1 500 000.00\. Not a bad effort from the remaining boys. A bit a luck with injuries and we will be OK.

This time last year we lost to Parramatta at Parramatta Stadium and we looked a complete mess. We then won our next 9 games. We have plenty of players to come back into this team starting from next week. It all starts against Penrith at Campbelltown next week. Get the points in that one and work from there.

We have to introduce some speed to our backline. Moltz back to fulback, Beau to right centre, and Koriobete to the wing for Lote. That will at least give us some strike power to work with. Ayshford maybe makes the bench at best.

As for the forwards, we we are struggling with guys like Blair and Highno there, but we all know that wont change. Our only hope is that Ellis is back next week to help Woods and Galloway. Bell does his job and deserves to be there ahead of Blair.

1.Moltzen
2.Utai
3.Ryan
4.Lawrence
5.Koro
6.Sironen
7.Marshall
13.Bell
12.Fulton
11.Ellis
10.Woods
9.Farah
8.Galloway

14.Blair
15.BMM
16.Moors
17.Ayshford

Given our injuries and their full strength I thought we were really good tonight -take out their 2 best fullbacks, 2 of top 3 wingers, best back rower and hooker and they would be fecked - we will come home strong with Farah, Moltzen, Ellis back in thE next couple of weeks

What can we do to turn this comp on its head and run home like a true brave Tigaaaar ?

Thoughts ?

In the corresponding round last year we got smacked by the eels at parra stadium, after that I gave up.

We then went on to win 9 straight games, not saying its going to happen again but hey you never know.

The game tonight was alot closer than I thought it would be, so in that regard it gives me some hope.

Bloody origin, we needed our captain tonight

I guess with our beloved Tigers - As quick as we fall, we can also quickly bounce back and be right up there..
However, I just don't know this year… We will need our key guys playing to have any chance.. Its like we could make Top 4, but we could also finish 10th... You never know what you will get...

I Love my Tigers, But even I'm starting to get frustrated at the way we play sometimes.. Maybe as fans we do Over rate our team.... because, At some point, Are we really that bad with attitude and our game plans OR do we just not have enough cattle.. I also think we are struggling anyway with some key players out and with Benji not firing, It certainly all points to disaster, ala tonight against the dogs.

And realistically, Unless we make a run, we will be just fighting to Make the Top 8\. With the way we seem to play, we will either make a run again ( maybe even make top 4 or 5) or splutter and maybe only win 2 or 3 more games and finish 10th..

I hope you're right and this year ends up with us on winning run into the 8\. I just don't see it though ( please, please be wrong me) We just haven't shown any significant form this year. And deep down, i just can't go past how easy it is for us to capitulate once something goes against us. Melbourne, Brisbane, Manly,Bulldogs…....if something goes against these sides, they don't drop heads and whinge and moan, they fire up, dig deep and win anyway. Kinda sounds like premiership winning sides to me.

P.S How did our backs go from so quick and feared to so slow?

As I said in another thread. Over the next few weeks the teams close to us have a tough draw. Warriors have Titans, Broncos and Manly. Dragons have Bye, Sharks, Rabbits and Storm. So we still have a good chance to put a bit of a gap between them over the next few weeks.

We could learn to defend for a start, and then remember to lock a player to prevent off-loads oh! And how about using the back line a little more?

What we will do is beat penrith but get no idea where we are by beating a out of luck team than get rolled in consecutive weeks. I can't beileve what I saw tonight. No excuses. We are not top 8 this year, there is no revival coming…even if we make top 8 we are cannon fodder for the storm or dogs...gutted my team has become a joke and with no notable purchases I can't see any light in the comming years.
