Doueihi does ACL again

Scans have confirmed high-grade partial ACL tear.

Club says, "Further medical investigations are required to determine the full extent of the injury and prognosis" but to my knowledge partial tears can require similar recovery periods to full tears.

Naden out for 2-4 weeks.

Can he play through it? Performance would be similar to previous weeks where he didn’t get to play his preferred 5/8 position

Not something you play through.
(EDIT: assume you're joking on second reading lol).

Just reading this:
"Best case for partial ACL tear is that damage is minimal and knee is functionally stable. This can sometimes mean a 2-3 month return. However, if knee cannot regain stability, reconstructive surgery is required, 6-9 month recovery."

I think best case scenario could be a 6 week return but probably highly unlikely given previous reco. Wishing him and Naden luck in their rehab.

Thanks for the update mate

I heard he played well on the weekend, won the game at the end.
I’ll watch the game at work tonight, from the games I’ve seen him play he’s not bad but he’s not really an upgrade on brooks. Only my opinion though so could be wrong

Roughly my opinion to, until this year where LB has confirmed he is the worst and totally incapable of being an nrl half so Sexton must be better and how good would it be to have sex staines in the same team.
If you watch it let me know your opinion of Sextons game.

I watched the whole game Sexton basically single handedly pulled off the victory in the last few minutes

I am sorry AD is gone. 3x ACL injuries and not good enough form.

We cannot renew his contract and he should only be given min 150k to see if he can play again.

He already has a contract for next year. I think he just has to think if he wants to try and come back. So he'll get next year to prove himself if he chooses too.

Yeh completely agree trindall has shown he can control a good side, would be a big difference coming to us but I think he would do well. I could be wrong though but worth a shot I recon. I know he just re-signed but contracts don’t mean a great deal anymore
Yeah surely a few more dollars and the chance to play regular first grade is attractive to him. I’m surprised they pick Moylan over him to be honest

re AD and ACL.

No he is done.

3 ACL's. Look AD has had good attitude and done alright for us. Our mistake was picking a generalists when we needed specialists and someone like Alex Johnson would have gone better.

AD can prove himself ofcourse, he can't undo the 3x ACL's and him returning to the field means 4x ACL's. He is done, Min 150k offers only.

Would depend on the % of ACL torn

I don't want to say he is done and he has a year to prove himself but I don't like his odds.

Feel most devastated for Naden, he has had a good start to the season.

Jesus you poor tigers bastards 😳

ACL tear is months no matter the severity of the tear
Minimum 5-6 months worst possible outcome
Brad Parker had a partial tear last year and didn’t have surgery. He returned in 3 months.
Injured round 8, returned round 19.

First off I hope Doueihi recovers ok and the rehab works - however long that takes, but immaterial of things I wouldn't rush him back into NRL comp when fit, let him ease himself back in and get some confidence again in the State Cup.
