i think what cost me the high scoring position wing and centre where there was potential for a combo of 39 points i used later picks compared to positions with 10 points up for grabs eg. the spine

E.g Thurston can only potentially get 100 points, whilst a good backrower (ie Mannering) can get 200.

But you still score well with other players , if someone grabs a good 2nd Rower you had in mind ? you just need to grab a good Prop . I did all my Forwards and didn't have a Centre or a Winger till pick # 8 or 9 .
It's the only way you can score it , but it all balances itself out cause 2nd Row and Props you scores the same as Wingers and Centres .
What do you do score # 3 Centre vs # 3 Centres and 4 vs # 4's it's silly that way

I think the other way to have done it would have been by rankings overall so the winger with most votes gets 22pts and so on double for positions with only one player eg halfback 22 for first 20 for second 18 for third
