Just from the reports it would appear that Crowe, and a few high ranking South's officials I.e. Richo, Pappas are in to this up to their eyeballs. If the allegations are true of South's cover up I'm not sure what action the NRL can take against them. Sam will be rubbed out of the game and media but I think Crowe and co.and South's will come out of this pretty unscathed. It's interesting that before Richo quit there were reports that he and Burgess were not on the best terms. Wonder if this had anything to do with their falling out.

Just read the entire article on The Warren and it makes pretty disgusting reading. It will be interesting to see how the NRL handle this, Souths clearly behaved terribly with the lengths they went to covering it all up.

I had a look at The Warren as well, and all I can say is thank goodness 'our' Moderators have clamped down on swearing/disguised swearing, even though you (Moderators) banned me for about a month for making to many complaints re swearing etc. then told me most of my posts were boring anyway.

While ever those associated with the NRL and promote it i.e. predominently ex players accept the off field behaviour of their mates and almost laugh it off the "Sam Burgess's" of the game will continue to emerge. I don't believe for a minute that all those
that work with him, socialise with him, werent privy to any of this - and yet it hasn't effected his ability to work in the game. He may not be guilty legally of anything other than being an absolute drop kick but when he has plenty of mates who seem to think that's ok, why would he think there was anything wrong with his behaviour.

I got pretty drunk on many occasions and became abusive. As soon as I awoke the next morning I realised immediately how bad my behaviour had been. I may not have remembered 'everything' but I remembered enough to feel remorse and apologise.
Thankfully, I gave up drinking any form of alcohol approx 30 years ago.

Unfortunately @MAGPIES1963, unlike you, some people have absolutely no morals at all. I doubt very much if he cares or even realises what effect his behaviour has on others. Probably all his life he’s been pandered to and his poor behaviour has just been accepted or glossed over. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he didn’t know how reprehensible his behaviour was.

It struck me that, apart from a few supporters, most were in denial. According to them, it was a plot by the media; Nick Politis; the wife and her family; etc. They comforted themselves that it's a beat up.

I thought our supporters were paranoid about the media's treatment of us. I have to say, we have got nothing on the Souths supporters.

This is a problem with social media all over the world. Anything, and I mean anything can be rebuked by talking conspiracy and Illuminati and Rothschild’ and big brother government. Nothing is ever the fault of anyone - everything is a plot to destroy you and your particular interest or position in life.
