Dugan megathread

I have to say that I am excited by the prospect of Dugan coming aboard, he would be that speedy fearless fullback we have been waiting for since Hodgo left. A spine of Dugan, Lui, Marshall and Farah would be devastating for other teams to oppose. With Woods, Galloway, Blair , Ellis & Heino laying the forward platform, these guys would carve defenses up.

Even though I think it would be a long shot in getting Dugan, it is nice to dream.

I dont think I can handle Lui at half for another year, unless he improves a few things dramatically, I hate bagging players, but he is killing me.

Dugan would complete the picture tho…..and we have some great young talent coming through that will do very well around that spine and behind a super pack

Dugan will be a wests tiger in 2012 jus has to go through the formalisation of things…tigers have offloaded enough money in there cap in fit blair and dugan in and will rely on under 20s from this year and next to fill holes in squad in regards to injurys.Only concern i have is in off season robbie farah will have his groin operated on jus hope he comes back bigger and better and can regain that acceleration in pace which he seems to have lost this season

Is it just me but has Lui seemed to lost half a yard in a year . Is it due to the ankle injury earlier in the year .When he takes the line on now he seems slower . Am I just losing it ??

nope happy tiger, you see the same as me. lui is at least a yard slower and i am so tired of him drifting sideways looking for runners when the tigers are in possession. other teams just slide with him because they know he wont take the line on. other 7's with a bit of toe always look for the bigger forward struggling to keep up with the play as a target to run at. but not lui .. too slow, crablike and completely out of confidence. i will take up drinking again if lui is picked again this week

I'm less worried about his attack/speed and more concerned with his unwillingness to tackle for long periods.

You do sound confident and hope you are right mate. The one thing that gives me doubt that this will happen is why would raiders release him with a year to go on his contract?

I guess the same reason as Roosters releasing Nate Myles. An unhappy player will not be at the top of their game and simply not put in. Thats the only reason I can think of.
