Kinda sounds like we’re trying to fit a square peg into a round hole by signing DWZ. Can’t see how this is going to work if he wants to play fullback.. Wasn’t Moses’ form pretty bad playing for Bulldogs at 6? So where does he go then if it doesn’t work? Not to mention he would be 5/8 number three.. If only we had that kind of depth in other positions. This all doesn’t seem to make much sense..

@swag_tiger that’s the final point they must needle out with his manager - personally I’d be happy Mbye into 5/8... people keep saying it won’t work but he’s definitely going to find form again and don’t forget Kevvy W thinks he’s good enough to play origin somewhere up in the defensive line - our coach is partial to a bit of a sheenius manoeuvre. Packer can go and with more good pigs like Matterson then DWZ’s running games will take off, throw Liddle in !

On the ABC call of last nights game they were discussing the rumour that had been around ages ago of Lichaa coming here. Said that wasn't happening but said that Madge might look at Mbye as a number 9 after Farah retires. He has had the odd game at hooker and there is talk he will get a run at dummy half on wednesday night.

Yep, I don't think he's our best 1 or 6.

But he's now our captain and even if Thomo absolutely kills it at 1 are they going to give him the no 1 jersey over the skipper? I think not.

If DWZ doesn't get signed as our 1 I don't see what the point is in getting him here, we already have enough mediocre outside backs.

I think we should probably dial back the "current Kiwi fullback" stuff. Do you think he's going to keep that place now RTS is fit again? Yeah nah. Nicholl-Klokstad is almost certainly ahead in the pecking order, too. So "of the three Kiwi fullbacks currently playing in the NRL, he is third in line". Which doesn't sound as good, hey?
